So I was experimenting with C4 and my least-favorite companion, drunk hillbilly Cass in the middle of the El Dorado Lakebed. I placed my entire load of C4 at her feet and blasted her into the sky. Each time, she would fly miles into the air, and collide with the Earth with a bone-shattering "smack". But then...

...I blast her once more, and instead of flying into the air, she simply vanishes. I tried waiting, in case she fell elsehwere and got knocked out. I tried fast travelling, to see if she would spawn next to me. No luck. After scowering the entire lake bed on foot, I turned up nothing.

What do you think happened? Did my explosion rip a hole in the fabric of reality, absorbing Cass forever? I had to reload, of course. C4 is an expensive resource. Cass, however, is expendable.

You just gave me a great idea to do when i'm bored. Thank you.

Oh and the explosion probably bugged, so you couldn't see it. It's happened to me before with nades.

She probably just dropped through the ground. Try Fast Traveling to another place and see if she comes along.

Hah, yeah. The explosion was visible, and it definitely happened...it's just that Cass disappeared the second the explosion occured.

Also, I tried fast travelling to no avail. Very mysterious. She's probably being gnawed on by some trans-dimensional, eldritch abomination at this point.

Cass is trapped in her own imagination now, being eaten by wiskey for an eternity.
