EA ripping off european customers

Post » Thu Jun 06, 2013 12:05 pm

As you all probably know, when buying products from Razer, Logitech, etc usually the european customers get to pay extra money because if the product costs, say, 80$ they also make us pay 80€.

That extra money we have to pay makes sense because those products are imported to us and therefore they have to pay taxes, so we can totally forgive them because otherwise the earnings wouldn′t be the same in our contries.

Now, what did EA decide to do? A lot of people were mad because of the DLC costing 15$.... Well, take a guess of what happened.

EA decided "hey, how about we rip off customers selling the DLC, which requires NO taxes because is a digital product for 15€?"

And so it happened!

European price for the DLC: 19,54$ - 14.95€

Discuss.

For me it shows a price of 14.99 Euros, what you said before happens to cod too.For example cod costs 60 dolars and if get the digital download on steam i will pay 60 euros.

Anyways, i′m not getting any DlC for 3 main reasons, 1o player base is ridiculous low, 2o support does happen but when it fixes some things it brokes others and 3o 15 euros for a DlC it′s too expensive not to mention that i just played 48 h of multiplayer and i got the game from day 1.

Btw, i didn′t saw any trailer for this DLC which is not a good strategy in my perspective.

I paid 54.99 € (~$72) for Crysis 3 on origin. I don't even live in Europe.
Steam prices on the other hand are in US dollars.
