[WIPRELZ] Rise of House Dagoth

A little about myself. I played Morrowind for 7 years straight and I recently returned to Morrowind after 2 year hiatus. I've modded for Morrowind for several years, but never released anything. Mainly because they were small mods, like adjusting a races height and weight; and a few basic companion and quest mods. I always wanted to make an add on to Mad God's Great House Dagoth mod. But at the time I didn't have the time to make the mod. But now I do.

Here is the premise:

(Spoiler Warning!!!)

The mod starts where GHD leaves off. You are Dagoth Ur's champion, Vivec is dead; and the rest of the Tribunal has been cut off from the heart. It is now time for Great House Dagoth to rise again.

Here are some features I have planned:

Getting Even: (Destroy Almalexia and Sotha Sil)

Rise Akulakhan!: (Finish Akulakhan's construction.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will try to keep the morally grey nature of the mod intact.

The mod will be dependent on the GHD mod. You can't play without it.


And yes, I got the name from the mod Rise of House Telvanni.

Sounds interesting. Does this mean we'll get to rebuild the old Dagoth capital out in the ashlands?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. Finally a true ending to GHD!!!!! :D :D Will this be compatible with GDR!? Since there is a patch between GDR and GHD.

I am excited already!

Thanks for the enthusiasm. :smile: As for your question. Yes, it will be compatible with GDR. It's one of my favorites as well.

This qoute from the GHD mod itself was what inspired me.

House Dagoth has been restored to a place of power and influence in Morrowind, and the Tribunal of False Gods no longer holds power here or anywhere. We need not concern ourselves with the Empire. With the troubles in Cyrodil, the Emperor will need all his resources to stay on his throne. None of the Legions here will dare act against House Dagoth. You will lead us and all of New Resdayn into a golden age.

I agree, the ending was anti-climatic. I thought I would be able to conquer Vvardenfell in Dagoth Ur's name. Alas you couldn't, but it was still a great mod; and one of my top faves.

And how will this work with the other possible endings of the mod's storyline? Or do we have to do it in that particular way to enjoy the mod?

I have been wanting something like this for my game world for a long time. It's a bit jarring when, other than a couple of dialog options that all NPC have, the game behaves as though you completed the main quest the traditional way.
