Robo-Scorpion Repeatable Grame-Crashing Bug (PS3)

This is a recurring issue, and one that has occurred even if I've just just loaded the game.

Game will crash when fighting multiple Robo-Scorpions Mk3, Mk3b, Mk5 and Mk5b. This has most frequently happened while fighting them with a Shishkebab, where the game will freeze mid-swing, usually after having defeated at least one of them. I've not tested, for sake of certainty, to see whether the game crashes if I back off and let the first one explode before laying into the next one, but it seems to have an effect on whether or not the game freezes up.

As for one thing crashing it, well..

Look at the other forum posts- several things cause a freeze-up... if that is what you mean by crash. Hard to really pin down on any one thing, people were saying it has something to do with the engine? I don't know about that, I'm not a programmer. OWB seems to have a large number of things that will freeze you up in the overworld area. But I don't doubt what you say. In my experience, fighting lobotomites is usually when it happens for me.. framerate crawls or freezes every time.

I just don't think its a specific problem with one type of encounter because I've fought those groups of robo-scorpions, (with ballistic fist and unique gauss rifle.. maybe the weapon did it?) and haven't had a problem. I also have all DLC and patches. Not trying to argue, but from the range of situations described in posts, just about anything can cause problems in Fallout: New Vegas, but the DLC seems to have caused most of it.
