is it true what fallout wiki says ,

do robobrains dislike what they are programed to do - killing?

. fallout wiki says they some times say "Please don't take this personally," "They could have programed me to love, to forgive, but nnnoooo," and "When this is all over, I hope we can still be friends." , and if that is true in what kind of voice do they talk in ?

because i am thinking if they should be in my base or not....

Yeah, I think that's true. I've heard them say things like that. My favorite is when they say something like "It is okay to run, I am trying to kill you." All the things robobrains say are pretty funny. Most robots for that matter.

I think this was more of a flavour decision by Bethesda. Robobrains in previous games have been more than loyal to their programming.

I don't think they are disagreeing with their programming. They are manipulating you. She said something like "I'm not trying to kill you" So I put my gun away and walked up to it, *ZAP* DEAD That robobrain lied to me.

I think they just say this to be funny. They are probably being sarcastic.

No, it was being completely honest. It wasn't TRYING to kill you, it was SUCCEEDING in killing you.

I like robobrains, and I cincerely think their mindset is akin to Portal's turrets. They kill, but are polite about it.

Besides, according to the wiki, they "borrowed" brains from criminals so I don't think they're ENTIRELY sincere.

They're still cute.

Well, there's also the Mr. Gusty in Underworld who comlains that he actually hates Ghouls and wishes they were dead, but has to protect and praise them because that's what they programmed him to do. So, it would seem that robots in the Falloutverse are fully capable of hating their programming. I think the Robobrains are being honest.

In other news: I could have been programmed to LOVE!

They were implemented in the game with weird and hilarious quotes similar but more intelligent than the Super Mutant's yells.

Sometimes I like to shoot Cerberus' combat inhibitor and watch him go nutso on the ghouls. He really does hate his pansy ghoul programming.

if you've got the robotics expert perk you can disable cerberus' combat inhibitor without attacking him. he still goes hostile to the player, but you recieve negative karma.
