I was on a BOS-related side quest and needed to clear some tough super mutants out of the Revere Satellite Array. After dying, I was excited to remembered that the Robotic Sentry Prototype MkIV you find at the Robotics Disposal Ground can be programed to defend / clear various locations (one of them being Olivia right next door, and one of them being Revere).

Has anybody successfully used the bot to clear Revere? If so, how the heck did you get it there?

Since it’s pretty far from the disposal ground, I tried programming the robot and then fast traveling, but the robot was nowhere to be found when I got there. So then I actually walked behind the stupid thing for 15+ minutes while it trundled along a pre-set path. Problem is, the pre-set path takes the bot through a gate it CANNOT FIT THROUGH. Just past the BADTFL Regional Office and right before Bunker Hill, there are fences restricting passage on the street. The gap is not wide enough for the bot to fit through, but the stupid thing seems incapable of taking any other path to Revere, so it ends up just spinning around and inching back and forth trying to squeeze through the gap.

Dog Meat and I succeeded in pushing the bot through the gab a couple of times into open ground, but the pathfinding AI still thought it was stuck, so it still just rolled in circles. If I tried to push it too far from the gate it would just de-spawn and vanish. Eventually I gave up and cleared the darn array myself, mad that I couldn’t use the cool secret toy that I found because of broken pathfinding.

Anybody else encounter this?
