Robotics Disposal Ground not cleared?

Post » Mon Feb 22, 2016 5:28 pm

I'm wondering about the Robotics Disposal Ground, because it is not stated as 'cleared' in my Pip-Boy in opposite to other locations I visited.

I'm quite sure I found all like Fat Man, Mini Nuke, magazine and the Power Armor at the downed Vertibird. Does it mean there are still some treasures I have not found or is it not common to mark all locations as 'cleared'?

Thank you very much.

I have found that locations marking up as 'Cleared' is rather hit and miss.

And as they re-spawn, I've not paid it much attention.

I think it means you killed all the bad guys there, not that you got all the treasure.

Even if it says "cleared" enemies can respawn but the named boss will not.

As noted, "Cleared" means you have eliminated all of the enemies in the location. Eventually, the "cleared" flag will go away as the location resets/respawns, allowing you to go clear it once more. Everything there should reset except any named bosses or special loot.

Also, the only places that are "permanently" unlocked I believe are the settlements you can clear and reclaim. The same applies I believe to Covenant if you forcibly evict the existing settlement instead of joining with them in the quest for Stockton's daughter.

one or more npc's in a location can be marked "boss".

that location is cleared when every npc marked that is dead.

it does NOT necessarily mean there's no enemies alive though. just no "boss"es.

for "clear out" type quests btw this in general (with a few exceptions) means: it's enough to kill the bosses to complete, everyone else could as well be left alive.

edit: to the op, not sure is that the one with the disabled sentrybot or the mole rat infested one? for the sentry bot one, did you kill or hack that bot? and for the mole rat one, they (the remaining ones) might be underground, running around being noisy should bring them forth :-)

edit2: ...and some locations just AREN'T clearable. can't tell about RDG though

For Mole Rats, a Jetpack equipped Power Armor works well enough. Simply Jump high enough That Falling Damage would be triggered. Upon Landing, anything nearby will be damaged/destroyed.
