J-Rock: Anyone But Me Like This Here? : Othor Games

I am "smitten" by a Japanese Rock group called Scandal. I ran across them a few years ago (they did one of the ending songs for the anime series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nibocG7_EDk). I looked deeper into Scandal and was impressed by their story. Their music I enjoy, too, in the right mood :smile:

I could not find a good video of my favorite song of theirs, "Hi Hi Hi" on YouTube, but some site called "alive" has a live version with not so great sound of http://alive.in.th/watch_video.php?v=4595O4DBB9W7. (Her riff is at about 2:27.)

Yea... 2 all girl groups....

Anyone else like J-Rock, or am, I just a dirty old man? :drool:

I kid. Not really my thing, I seldom deviate from punk rock. But they kinda sound good. Might give them a solid listen...

I have never heard of them but they are OK.

It is not an all girl band but I like to listen to some Babymetal occasionally.

I've heard a few cool songs in the many games and anime openings I've watched. Like many, I've got to say Linked Horizen did an good job for the AoT openings.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTdcxQZcQAE is a perfect example of how a song can both add to a work, and take on more meaning from it. Unfortunately the lyrics are packed with spoilers if you realize their meaning.

But, as I've said here before; I really only listen to music that is part of a larger work.
