Rockstar should get the rights to Fallout and make it right!

Post » Thu May 12, 2011 9:03 am

You really think Bethesda would put kids who have six with eachother in to the game?

It still doesn't make any [censored] sense.

You do realize that Bittercup, who claims to have been the 'girlfriend' of half of the kids who came from Lamplight, is probably no more than 17 or 18 years old at -most-, right?

You're not really so naive as to think, for a second, that she is either an isolated case... or not romping around in the hay with all those 'boyfriends' of hers, right?

You do realize that YOUR character is only about 19, yes?

The fact of the matter is... despite Fallout 3's world having no mechanics for it... "Kids" grow up. They've been living in that hole for almost 200 years. That means SOME of them are going to breed... and obviously, since there are still kids there, they have been. Furthermore, kids who grew up in lamplight and had kids of their own are probably very likely to bring their children BACK to Lamplight, in the event they cannot take care of them.
It's not at all impossible. It's not even far-fetched.

Them not getting completely annihilated by raiders, slavers, and each other was perhaps a bit far fetched... but no more so than any -other- group of survivors in any story ever told.

As for Megaton... well... Megaton has been explained three different times in almost the exact same way... by people who have never really had much contact with one another whatsoever. Something tells me that it makes perfect sense to anyone who actually paid any attention to the story.

I begin to think you're just complaining to complain... and that's the worst kind of complaint there is, because it doesn't even require any kind of thought or logic. You can just sit there and say 'It doesn't [censored] make sense' all day long, and never justify your case. If that's not the case, then hopefully you better understand now the points for why places like Megaton and Little Lamplight exist. There have been many perfectly understandable explanations given.

Otherwise, well... I see no further point in arguing it.

I would much rather see more people come and point out reasons why Rockstar should -not- make a Fallout game...

... that would be fun. I like hearing legitimate complaints.

If Rockstar make Fallout game it wont be fallout. Rockstar never made an RPG and they didnt want to buy Fallout Franchise. They would fail making more of linear third person shooter like GTA

Yes but you'd need a whole lot more metal to completely surround Springvale then to surround a crater and build a second floor for it... It's fairly simple to defend Megaton, all you need is Stokcholmes walking around on the catwalk cricling the gate and you could stay around for a very long time... Megaton is about 50-70 years old... If you remember what that old lady said. The raiders could have been in the general area alot longer (not in Springvale school is said "general area")

i'd go to somewhere 80. The lady is old and she wasnt even alive when the Megaton was starting to be build. This can mean that Megaton is older when 80 becuase probably at first the town is going to be build and when her father married and so on.It is one of the oldest settlements in the CW.

No.. They would probably throw in a hot scotch scene too... I'm just sayin', they've done it before, they'd break the fallout rep by doing it again...

Little Lamplight is not plausible. They do not have modern medicine, they do not even have a real food source, there are Super Mutants right next door, there is a HUGE source of radiation right next door. their "culture" would have degraded to little more than savages in no time, etc... I can not see why people have such a hard on for that place and weave grand tales of how it could be even remotely possible. Oh well, to each his own.

Considering that medicine production was stopped 200 years ago no one has modern day medicine. They have source of food and Super mutants have no point in attacking them. Radiation next door? Where? The insides of the vault is not radiated so...

Lets not take this completely off topic talking about Springvale and Little Lamplight when their is no need to bring it up.

Rockstar wouldn't be able to make Fallout the way that Bethesda and Obsidian did. I would rather have Bioware with all their attempts at being Square Enix Jr with Customization of the main character, take over the rights then say Rockstar.

Why?

Gonna have to agree with this, Bioware would just turn it into a steam exclusive puzzle game :/

OH, I HAVE A BETTER IDEA!

The makers of Total War and Sid Meier should make Fallout Strategy games as a spin-off.

Gonna need Square Enix for a JRPG themed Fallout as well.

Yeah I'd hate Bioware.
I'm sure they'd get the lore right and bring some great story developments and new lore that fits... But it's gameplay... Oh my god it's gameplay...
Say hello to "combat wheel + chest high wall action game with minor RPG elements #5".
