Hey, I went up to the guards who were on the steps and I didn't realise they would attack me. I saved just after and my previous save is awhile back, they won't stop attacking me even if I get a bounty and sheathe my weapon, they will just start attacking me outside the Blue Palace. I am on PC.

Anyone know how to make them stop attacking me or do I have to go back to my prev save?

I did that. Just wanted a closer look and they wigged out.

Can't help you though. I had the save where I came through the gate and I just used that.

Cick the guard(s) and go to console commands and enter : setav aggression 0

Or leave Solitude, fast travel to another hold, and return. Sheathe weapons if necessary.

Hope this fixes it.

You can also cast a calm spell.

By using the console to give yourself a scroll, if that's not appropriate for your character. I'm sure instructions for producing said scroll are around somewhere...

Player.addspell <0004DEE9> gives you the calm spell already in the magic menu

Player.additem <000A2711> <1> adds 1 scroll of Calm

And there it is!

Normally you can just leave the hold you're in for several in-game days then return. They wont be hostile towards you but will still attempt to arrest you.

Durign Rogvir's execution, after he was beheaded I tried raising his dead body and all the guards attacked. Pretty hysterical.
