Role Playing Forum

Yeah, uhhh, I joined this forum once again (after a 4 year haitus) because I wanted to roleplay. But it seems the roleplays in TES Fan Fiction are either EXTREMELY slow, or dead. Flat line. No pulse. Any other RP forums anyone knows of? Like, established, always running ones? (I'm still staying here for GD though.) :D

TES Fan Fiction goes through periods of up and down. We'll pick up again, don't worry. I'm thinking you'd get better results for RP forums if this was in TES Fan Fiction, but then again you might get some good results here.

So i have no idea if this should be moved or not. :P

I know of a few RP sites for TES Rps, but not many for other types of Rps.

RPing is pretty much dead on all the fan fiction sites (At least those which I am/was a member of) TES just needs something to actually happen to it if RPing is ever going to happen again.

Any links to these? I can always google if not, just wanted to know if you knew any real good ones.

Naturally, forum life will swing with game development. I say wait for Tes V, which will herald a new age of RPers destined to overthrow the current system and establish a new RPing pecking order! Of course, it is probably more likely that they will just join us that are already doing so. In which case I intend to have a star or two more before then ^^ RPing is not dead...just...um. Slower? Maybe if you join we can have enough to pick it back up again ;)

I doubt you'll find any TES RP sites that are always active. This one is pretty good considering all the time it's been since Oblivion. And the excellent moderation, which I hear is better than most other sites.

Honestly, I prefer it slow paced. It gives me relief to find out, after a long day of work and such, that I don't have to trifle through several pages that all happened while I was away and I have to act as if my character was asleep or something through it all.

I agree. A fast-paced RP is difficult to follow. People have lives, you know.

Also, many RPs are simply not developed enough. A person creates a thread, reveals a speck of a story, then says "I'm boss!" and expects people to be eager to join and do his/her work.

It's not the pace that's troubling. It's the oscillation of interest. People join an RP and then seem to forget that. It sounds similar to forgetting you made a promise to someone. Which is very bad politics, since we are worth as much as our reputation.

That's how its always worked. People get out of school for the summer and have time to RP, then once school kicks in again it dies down...
