Roleplay Idea + Needing a build

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 11:48 am

I've decided to move away from the "instant Fighter" type of roleplaying. Instead, i'm going to Roleplay a farmer.

However, I don't know how strict I should be, what I should name the character, what race it should be or what build it should have :P. I was hoping to get your guys ideas and see if i like any of them.

At the moment, a basic background:

'Was born into a farming family that had lived in Cyrodiil for many generations. was sent out by his family to use a bow, and would often accompany his father who would travel through the woods to reach the town of Skingrad to trade their goods. Life was pretty good, and although was poor, he lived a fulfilled and happy life - gaining no education, but instead learned the ways of the land, but never any combat or sword skills. One dark night, however, a large group of Necromancers attacked their farm - which lay in the Middle of the Great Forest - killing both of 's parents and his sister. Escaping through the cellar, fled to his old uncles farm on the other side of Cyrodiil, however upon arrival he found that his Uncle had left and headed north to Hammerfell, leaving the Farm to . Plagued by the memories of the attack, tried to continue life as a farmer, and after a few years the pain subsided.'

Just a small background, however I'm not good with my lore - so I don't know who would be a good race to pick. Plus I need roleplaying ideas. I've already got the Millstone mod - but I was thinking of adding a romance character for my character to be married to - farmers wife ^^. Thanks for the ideas and suggestions :)

This bit suggests your character should be an Imperial.

You could make the Farmer Class playable using the Consruction Set. A Farmer may not have sword skills, but would know how to deliver a killing blow with an axe, The ability to use a ranged weapon is a given.
A Farmer would have a basic knowledge of Smithing, Alchemy, and Restoration to avoid spending his hard earned septims. The Farmer would always wear leather gloves and boots for protection from thorns and accidents involving Animals.
Most Farmers always carry a good knife, they only put it away when they do go to bed.
I would look for a companion who "cooks" - meaning they have the ability to offer you various food and drink items.

Great idea, and perhaps an Imperial would be good :)

Any other ideas?

As far as a name goes... I'm not entirely sure. There are some name generators out there... maybe someone more versed in their use could send a link?

If you manage to find a fitting companion to RP as your character's wife, there's several rather nice peasant outfits on the Nexus... though I'm not sure which body mods you use, if at all.

Sorry I can't help more.

Both of the above are very good lore correct name generators. I personally use Silgrad Tower more, but that's due to the Dunmer names being categorised by House.

And as for race, don't feel like you MUST use Imperial. Any race could work.
