Roleplaying a blind mage/assassin/warrior.

Post » Sun Jan 03, 2010 10:17 pm

I thought I'd try my hand at roleplaying a blind mage/assassin/warrior, but I don't know where to begin and I don't have a mod to give my character a blindfold.

I figured the blind character in question should be an elf, perhaps a wood elf since they're more in tune with nature. That's all I have now for this character.

So, should this guy be an assassin/mage/warrior?

What are other ways I can roleplay that he's blind (yet deadly)?

This sounds very exciting to me. :D

Hmmm a good role, try no ranged attacks at all, as I know super / fantasy / action heros tend to be able to hear anything.
I just find this a little to unbeleivable though, also stay away from light, nighteye and even detect life spells.
Although thinking about it wack the darkness up in your game untill its impossible to see in doors, then only use detect life, as this will give you an idea of what your character goes through imo.

My elf is not blind at all, but in dungeons she keeps it very dark. She uses detect life to see what matters (foes). Sometimes traps can catch her though, lol. It is kind of fun to see the world in only pink glows. I wouldn't want to try a fully blind character though.

I don't know about blind, but you could perhaps keep detect life permanently in effect (enchanted items) and pretend that is how your char sees the world - even in town etc. Sort of like Predator from the movie or Jordie LaForge from Star Trek The Next Generation.

Right.

He's not TOTALLY blind. Just has very bad eyesight. I can roleplay that by moving the darkness up to the fullest.

He'll probably be a warrior, most likely.

EDIT: That might be a good idea, Acadian. :)

Oh, I love the idea. Playing a blind warrior could give a completely different kind of gameplay. Found a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7734 if you want one.
