This is a roleplaying idea i had for oblivion, but i could as well implement it in morrowind, or in the future in TESV.
So here it comes, you guys can comment whether it is lore friendly or not, and what i should change.

My mum and dad were both mages, they got into the mages guild as adolescents and met each other there. It was love on first sight.
From one thing to the other, they got married to each other the each of 21 and 20, both still members of the mages guild in the imperial province.
They both were lucky and got me, an imperial son.
One day my mother was forced to do dangerous magic experiments involving creating mobile (small, like in in necklace) teleportation stones by combining enchanted ebony with ordinary stones.
My dad didn't liked it very much but he was quiet. At one they the expiriment went wrong, my mum got burned and died from the injury's, there were no potions that could save her from that kind of deamonized magical heat.
My dad was furious, to himself and to the mages guild. Me, i was just a little boy of 10 years old, i cried.
My dad tried to find a way to make my mother turn back, he used necromancy, and he tried, and tried, and tried, but not even that forbidden mogic worked.
One day the imperial mages guild found out that my dad was trying to use necromancy to make my mum return. They saw him as a trator, using the outlawed magic of necromancy, and took him to a secret underground mages cave where he was tortured. He discovered a lot of new necromancer spells in the process, and the mages guild needed acces to them, and didn't want the spells to get in the hand of the necromancer guild, so they tortured him till he would gave in.
I was just 11 years old, and was made into an orphan, and got picked up by an dunmer farmer from morrowind, he could use another farm help on the vulcano ground which was very fertile.
At morrowind i learned some magic myself.
A few years later, i was 16 years old then, i received a note with an imperiel seal, My dad died in the mages guild prison due to torture.
It was At that day I swore revenge to completely root out the whole mages guild of tamriel, every mage in Nirn if I had to, using not a single kind of magic, and completely whipe magic of the lands.


Okay, so that was my roleplaying idea, hope it is any good, and hope it is lore friendly.

1. Daedric Weapons are made out of ebony, so they're as easy to melt as any other metal. Only problem is the fact that once they're melted, an EXTREMELY pissed of daedra's ghost will slip out and give you the greatest of all asskickings.

2. Necromancy isn't illegal. In the Empire, Necromancy is 100% legal as long as the corpses are taken with the permission of the family or the person. So, the Mages Guild broke countless Imperial Laws, and commited murder there. And from the sealed letter, it implies this is known. WHERE ARE THE TRIALS, OCATO!?!? I KNEW YOU WERE CORRUPT, BUT YOU GO TOO FAR SHELTERING YOUR GUILDMATES.

changed the stuff about the mages, it was all done by the mages guild, the imperial guard had nothing to do with it, the murder of my dad happened secretly in a dungeon/cave.

I wil find another reason for the fearsome experiments of my mother, thx

I'm not sure about an RP, unless the players are to be the mages your guy is taking revenge on, but it would make a fine fan fiction. I'm sure the folks over in the fan fiction section would be able to help you more (:P)
