Roleplaying In Skyrim - Limitations?

Post » Thu Sep 15, 2011 10:26 am

So I was thinking, skyrim looks pretty realistic (in a fantasy-world sense) and I was thinking about it's limitations. One limitation that came in my mind was, dungeons. Take Bleak Falls Barrows for example (the ruins displayed in the demo, where Nords used to worship dragons), there were draugrs (undead Nords) rising from their coffins/tombs. Now I would think that there are a limited number of burried people (draugrs) in the ruins, but after 3 days the dungeons respawn and if you go inside again after 3 days, you would see the same draugrs rise again from the SAME TOMBS/COFFINS. This breaks the roleplaying element a bit. What do you guys think?

If enemies don't respawn, you won't have anything to do after some little time playing it...

I like it better than the "Spawn from nowhere" enemies, that's for sure!

Just do yourself a favor and never go back. I've never went to the same dungeon twice, so it's a non-issue for me.

But, a solution could be filling the place with wedge mages, bandits, and/or ghosts.

Yeah I think that would make more sense, seeing as there are over 150 dungeons in the game :) I also like the bandits/ghosts idea!
