romantic interludes

Post » Sat Jun 18, 2011 7:55 am

I dont need a romance in my game, but the option is cool I personally think, it would be just one more thing I can do if I so choose, or not if I dont want to, so who cares really if they give us the OPTION (I cannot stress the word OPTION enough, because I know people will freak and start going on about six and such, all I can say about that is, be mature about this subject for once, and just discuss the OPTION for romance) !

I love women and my Dovahkiin Character will love women

Having the option to do it or not to do it is what an RPG is about

Adds immersion, and don't bring the "This is'nt fable" crap into here.

well, i dont necessarily need to have six in every game that i buy, but having some kind of romance does add to the rpg element, and the immersion to the game.

Yes I agree. I don't think it's at all crucial to the game, but as an RPG you should be able to do what you want, including this.

Just a random thought: Has nobody considered that Fox News might pull a Mass Effect styled report on this one (I.E. Not play the game and exaggerate the sixual part in it to ridiculous bounds and at the same time trying to look like they're experts on the game)?

It makes it so much better.
I have a crush on Felecia Day Veronica in New Vegas. But because Obsidian developers are cruel, cruel men our love cannot be.
They made sure to break my heart.

Naked ladies make everything better, that's why all the classic art was full of them.

They knew what makes something truly art- nudity.

I dont think bethesda cares as long as they gonna be hit with a m rating anyway, because the censors will find a reason as always to do so, damn their censorship blagh blagh lol !

if romance is in, then i will have to look in every city to find the perfect nord woman, to have a romantic discussion with her, and end up in a good close relationship. this role playing feature would, be interesting

Who buys video games based on what Fox News has to say?

Who watches Fox News?

Fixed that for you.

Really I'm not for 'romance' in games. Mainly because its so awkward, pathetic, and poorly executed. If Bioware can't pull it off than Beth certainly can't pull it off.

There will not be nudity, and considering you can make any character you want if there was nudity it wouldn't just be ladies. Also romance doesn't imply "interludes" either. I'm really interested in finding out if this is was a mistranslation or true, regardless.

So long as it's purely an optional feature, I have no problem with them being included. It's just another flavor to spice up the roleplaying experience for some people. I might not enjoy it, but that doesn't mean that others will necessarily feel the same.

in other games where romance was available, i think it ultimately came down to your dialogue/romance choices so I think Skyrim will also be the same, i dont see them shoving it down your throat.

i think bethesda can pull off a simple romance feature, as long as the romance isnt too dramatic and serious like dragon ages

Bioware is well known to be better at the story and plot than Beth which only has the sandbox going for it.

If its simple and not dramatic then it really isn't romance now is it?

How could something realistic and optional destroy a game.

A lot of people. It's the top cable news channel by a mile (beat msnbc and cnn combined last I heard). Anyway, Fox News would be doing the series a favour if it protested judging by this thread. I don't want TES to go the way of Bioware *spits*.

You know what? If people cry foul due to boob in an M rated game, than they're basically idiots. It's their own fault if they buy an M rated game for their kid and later find out there's blood, guts, and apparently worst of all, BEYOND the gore - nipble.

Anyhow, where was Romantic relationships mentioned at? I first heard of it on Facebook.
