Romantic partners?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:32 am

If it's anything like Dragon Age's level of character depth/development, sure. If it's Skyrim's level of characterization then I have to say no, focus on developing other aspects of the game. Ysolda from Whiterun shouldn't suddenly be boarding the train for six and the city because of a mammoth tusk you delivered to her.

I do want some romance, as long as there is something for everybody. No matter if you're lisbian, gay och straight. Bi counting of course and they would have twice the choices.

But personally? I don't know, maybe. As long as it's not like in Skyrim. A wee bit deeper than that, thank you.

You know, you could get married in Fallout 2. It really wasn't a good thing though.

But it was an easy fix. Your spouse was weak and could be killed easily in a fire fight.

Sometimes it was difficult to get Miria killed, she had a tendency to run at the first sign of trouble. But really, the best option was to sell them into slavery, you at least got some cash out of that. :P

Todd says a lot of stuff and rarely ever keeps his promise, is fully truthful or means what he says.

In Dead Money there was Christine. After you get her a voice, you can get quite an earful. While not specifically stated by either, Veronica's story about her love life and Christine's are almost identical, leading one to believe that they were lovers in the past, before Christine became a member of the Circle of Steel.

Stick the romance, I'm only really interested in adventuring. Cheesy love scenes in video games do nothing to enhance the experience for me whatsoever.

Same here. I would in fact like to see a "turn off cheesy love scenes" function in the options menu. This would be a fine addition in my opinion and save me watching any unnecessary mushy nonsense.

I for one consider it nothing short of astonishing that people are making this request after the award-winning romance depth seen in Skyrim.

I'm all for romance, if it's well written and not skyrim's marriage system which was "Thanks for the fire salts now let's be life partners because we're young and the world is scary as hell."

Guys bethesda isnt known for there writing or plot lines in fact they have gotten a negative rep because of there poor writing you really want bethesda to touch this subject? Because more then likely its gonna be a stinker.

hokers, perhaps.

Marriage should be at the bottom of the priority list, but hopefully they won't waste any resources on it.

I hope they DO NOT go with the "relationship" angle. It's just weird in videya games.

I have no problem whether they include it or not. I'm sticking to faffing about in the wasteland with my dog at my side either way.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this way. Bioware is the master of crafting deep character relations, not just in the romance area, but with companions in general. I'm glad that they did add companions in Skyrim, so you didn't have to travel alone, but OMG the marriage system was a joke! LOL

So yea, never really connected Fallout with romances, but it wouldn't hurt if you could flirt with some stud companion hehe But, I rather they focus on plot and story line and not waste their time on some mediocre romance system.

LOL well said, Longknife! :)

I hope not. I'd rather see something like Witcher with random chances of six.

I think the inclusion of romantic partners would be fantastic. One of the more disappointing aspects of the last two games was how lonely I often felt as I scavanged the Wastes. Companions aside.

Amata from Fallout 3 was a missed romantic opportunity, as was Bittercup and even Butch. There are some awesome mods out there that let you achieve just that, but to have them incorporated into the main game would have been fantastic. If said romantic options were given for Fallout 4 I also hope for the inclusion of both hetrosixual and homosixual relationships in order to appeal to auidiences of all types.

Bethsesda Studio's went over this subject in Fallout 3 I belive, it was scrapped. So I belive that this will not be happening withing Fallout 4.
