Ronto!

Post » Fri Oct 23, 2009 7:57 pm

when i was playing the pitt and heard ashurs speech about how the pitt was the pinnacle of envy for the rest of the survivng areas.... i have always wondered what ronto would be like... considering how large canada is i figure it would make for a great setting for a fallout game... it would definatley be expansive with possibly endless gameplay... and by endless i mean ENDLESS!!! any thoughts

It sounds good at first but when you come down to it. All of canda in a 50s way which they would make it would just be woods and snow. I mean probaly cool monsters and raiders but nothing else. Unless you do it in a city.

i can understand where youre coming from... but even if it didnt make its own game it would still make for some great dlc... but i think that would give the game a new feel... out in whats left of a great forest running from god knows what and the nearest stitch of civilization is miles and miles away... pretty edgey but still a thought

Toronto and the Dominion of Canada at large would generally be much like the United States, with the sole difference that the Canucks would still have a much larger loyalist sentiment/feel.

Ronto belongs in The Commonwealth/Canada. I want the Erie Stretch and a Detroit mod. I want to see Cleveland and D-town when they worked, then got nuked.

An example of the currency that would probably be used in Ronto:

What the City of Ronto may look like:

**Note the buildings would be in worse shape, and no cars on the streets**

I think building parts of Ronto and Canada would be fantastic - so many ideas.

I would bet you a nuka-cola that we could still find Tim Horton's manned by polite Ghouls serving coffee and dohnuts. ;)

We would need someone good at making wasteland space, as there is so much open/undeveloped area in Canada.

Of course running into a mutated Elk or Bear could be nasty too..

Whitetail Deerclaws, crawdaddylurks, walleye people, and northern Yao Guai, coupled with nuclear winter for 8 months a year, makes the NCR or CW seem tame.

Instead of a little Potomac river, you'd have a big radiated Lake of Ontario if a game sets in Toronto. Enemies may include the Commonwealth and other American factions, since the inhabitants likely did not like the pre-war annexation by the U.S. Perhaps factions from the U.K. may have a presence here as well.

it would be cool if was in a actual game based on northern united states like north Dakota and southern canada etc

but i wouldn't mind if made it way as a spin-off or a DLC

That's what they should do. Rather than include the Enclave ever again, (and if so, just like little pockets or roamers.) They could have Ronto be the top new enemy?

I'm pretty sure, that if Ronto was well off, they'd definitely be expanding their boarders. Possibly into northern America?
