Oh. now i remember him from Wrestling. I watched that show, when i was younger.
Rest in Peach “Rowdy” !!!
My deepest condolences to his Family...
I never cared for wrestling, but he was still a part of my childhood when I first watched the classic "They Live" back in 1988
He made a lot of fun sci-fi movies, and was awesome on It's Always Sunny in Philly
Rest in piece, good sir.
I used to love wrestling, and then Andre The Giant passed away. It wasn't long after that I stopped watching it entirely. Mostly I just found it became too outrageous, too ridiculous to continue watching anymore...not that it wasn't already. It's also possible that I just outgrew it too.
Of course I remember Roddy Piper, I just seem to remember him a little differently than being a villain, but then I was a fan of The Iron Sheik too, so what do I know?
My favorite villain was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Vachon. Rowdy was a good villain, too
RIP, Rowdy!
I'm feeling older. Wrestlers I watched in high school (when I was into that scene) are resting in peace now.
Man, I grew up watching Roddy Piper in the 80's and 90's. As a child I was a Hogan fan so Piper being his nemesis made me not a fan of his. As a teenager and young advlt I grew to respect him as a wrestler.
But anyway RIP Hot Rod. Your Piper's Pit segments were great.
I came here to chew bubblegum and bid Rodd Piper farewell and I'm all out of bubblegum. RIP man.
Everyone should watch "They Live", great documentary.
Wow, 61, gone too soon. Rest in peace, Hot Rod.
Rest in Peace Rowdy Roddy Piper. Man I hated him. Back then we knew wrestling was fake, but the would still pretend it was real. He was so good he made us hate him. He did his job really good. He would get fans to throw stuff at him and he would need a police escort to the ring so nobody would get him.
He was one of the greatest at what he did.
He was one of the greatest Heels in the game, He just knew how to play the part just right.
R.I.P.
A great wrestler back when wrestling was great.
Man, I used to love watching WWE.. it was always the best time to pull out the popcorn and enjoy the cheesiness.
I re-watch "They Live" at least once a year.
rip Roddy, I know that somewhere you're taking 'em to the mat.
