Royal Rumble. Anyone exicted for it?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:41 pm

There have apparently been talks about it between Vince and Dana White. However Dana said no to Brock coming in for the rumble according to what I have read. Also I don't know how him returning would be taken by the wrestlers due to the fact that he was ripping on the Undertaker and basically blaming him for losing his UFC title as Taker had been at the only 2 matches in UFC that Brock has lost

Yeah, Lesnar isn't gonna jeopardize his MMA career for this. There's no way he's coming back.

That's strange. Anyhow, I kinda want him back, as his feud with the Rock was really good. He's also one of the most athletically talented wrestlers Ive seen. Also, anyone know whatever happened to Billy Kidman? The guy who used to always do that awesome Shooting Star Press? Did he just fizzle out? I kinda liked him too..

Last I heard, he was a trainer or something like that for WWE, but he doesn't actually wrestle anymore.

I just read on Wikipedia that he is a trainer in WWE's minor league, FCW. It said he is also a producer for Raw and Smackdown, but that is wiki so it might not be true.

Thanks for info. :)

It's good to know that are still some WWE fans.. I was starting to believe that the only WWE fans left on Earth were the ones that showed up to the shows itself. (Which is still a pretty big number.)

No problem, I like being able to use my useless knowledge sometimes.

I've been watching WWE since I was 11 I think, so thats 10 years. I can't give up on it. I did quit watching for a while when Mike Adamle became GM a few years ago. I couldn't stay away though, and lucky for me, the night I started watching again was the night they got rid of Adamle. It was awesome.

I don't go to the shows. I've been to one Raw 6 years ago, and one Smackdown like 8 or 9 years ago. I prefer watching it on tv.

It's also believed that former TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong will make her WWE debut during the Diva's championship match between Natalya and Laycool

I've heard that too. I'd say that it's highly likely.

I haven't watch WWE since they went PG. It's been going downhill for the last 6 yrs and I think when Benoit died that was the final straw with WWE being good.

Yeah, the PG stuff has been hard to get through. I heard that the board member who was the biggest supporter of PG just quit, so that could be a good sign.

Benoits death was a great blow to every fan, but you can't exactly blame the WWE for that.. Toothless Aggression was one of the legends. But I agree with their turn for downhill. I think Benoits death was around the same time I lost interest. I knew what was going on, but I didn't watch every single show, as I used to..

As for Wade Barret, why do I have the feeling, he can be the last 10 or even 4 guys, and then all of a sudden, the lights will go dark. BONG! BONG! BONG! The lights go on, and the Undertaker Eliminates Wade from the ring. For the next 2 months, Wade gets the upper hand agaisnt 'Taker until their final meeting at Wrestlemania where Taker will destroy Barret just like he destroy HHH over 10 years ago. This could work, and be a great story.

Since the cat is out of the bad,
Spoiler
I would love to see the Spina a roonie again. I just hope it's not King Booker vs King Sheamus. Blah.
As for HHH, the rumour is, he is still a bit ways off for his return, BUT they could be saying htat to surprise us again. Problem is, having the SHOCKER of Jon Cena return at Royal Rumble 3 years ago, and then Edge last year, I think we are really shocked out, except for the mention of
Spoiler
Booker T and Kevin Nash

Spoiler
As for Kevin Nash, I stopped watching TNA because Nash seemed, so unlike himself I couldn't take him seriouisly and became a joke. So I don't know how to take his WWE return.

As for Hack Saw Jim Duggan (AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS) (guess you have to be in Toronto to understand that one :)), it would be nice to see him since he is the very first Royal Rumble winner. It was in Hamilton Ontario, untelivised event. But still he is the first winner and be nice to see.

I believe Kane will have the most eliminations. Not sure but I have a feeling, The Chosen One (damn forget his name from Smackdown) will be an early entrant, and be one of the longest participants. I don't think he will win it though.

I am wondering for the Divas Title match, if a new enforcer will come to the ring. Kong. She did tease that her stomach was Rumbling, and she might give the Smackdown to some Raw sushi. :). So this could leave a Kong vs Natalia in the future for Wrestlmania or even a 3 way with Naty, Glamazon and Kong. Why do I have the funny feeling WWE is going to screw her up and she will be a love thing to Santino by summer?

Also I think The Glamzon will be one of the 40 again.

Lots of good stories, and laughs. Also I do hope we get to see the most devestating move in all of WWE right now. THE COBRA! Hopefully he lasts longer than 1 second this time. :shocking:

My favorite special RR guest was Drew Carey.. I forgot which one it was, but the DC theme played and he trotted into the ring all happy-like. Then Kane gives him the death-stare, so he just jumps out of the ring all scared.. I laughed so much that night.. :lmao:

Nope, can't. It won't air here until next Sunday.. If Im lucky that is.. I live in the Middle East, and the telecast comes a little later. I usually just check results from the internet, then watch it later just for kicks..

Drew Carey in the rumble was hilarious. One I would like to see be in the rumble is Pete Rose. Just for him getting beat up by Kane once again.

Whichever RR that was; it was my favorite. Some dude with a guitar was a guest too, but Kane broke it. :P

I forgot who wins it; but HHH was Entry 29 or so, I think 30 was Taker..

The Rock was also thrown out, but from under the top rope, so he just sat outside till the ring was clear, before jumping back in. Typical.

Edit: No wait, I was wrong; it was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Rumble_%282001%29.

Agree there. I'm just glad it wasn't Cena or Orton who won it.

Anyway I totally went crazy hearing both Booker T's and Diesel's Music hit.

Diesel is Kevin Nash. It was his name back in the 90's. The crowd went nuts for him too. I was surprised.

Booker was awesome. I almost fell out of my chair when I heard "Can you dig it? svckA!" At the halfway point in the match, Nexus had took everybody else out. Everytime someone came out, they took them out. Booker came out and kicked ass for a bit, but he went out before anybody could come and help him.

My era.....dike the Bruiser, Bobo Brazil, Flying Fred Curry, Lord Athol Layton, The Sheik, Haystacks Calhoun, Ernie Ladd....

I saw all those guys in DEEETROIT....1969 ! Shook Lord Layton's hand and got his autograph in the parking garage at Cobo Hall.

No I'm not excited about some Royal Rumble.

There's no way Flair would have been there. He works for TNA. As for legends, there weren't any. Nash and Booker were probably the most legendary in the match, and they aren't really old enough to be considered legends.
