Yeah, I've heard stories about my family back in the day. They would get in fights with each other because they all had such strong opinions about it, and yes they thought it was real. Well, I say thought, but for all I know it was real back then. Im not even close to being old enough to know.

It took as much athletic & acting talent then as it does today....those cats were the pioneers. It was really big in Detroit.

[edit] I should accurately say the pioneers of the "television era", it goes back further than that......and most of the ones I mentioned were actually like the second generation of the television era, with the exception of dike the Bruiser.....

Did you see how overpowered they made John Cena? Thats soo bull & thats why I hate him soo much. It would've been nice to let Rey, king Booker, Santino or someone new win.. Other then that Del Rio guy or whatever his name is.

Yeah, I hated that. They always make Cena look like the strongest man on the planet. I really wish Booker would have taken out a Nexus member or two and survived until someone else came out. I thought he would last longer than that.

As for Del Rio, I agree that he shouldn't have won. I knew his success was inevitable, but this is way to soon for him to be in the Wrestlemania main event.

I was pretty shocked about the Miz retaining too. I don't mind him having the belt, but I don't see WWE having him in the 'Mania main yet. Of course there is still Elimination Chamber, and I feel fairly certain he will lose the belt there. Im not saying he's not capable of main eventing 'Mania, but I really don't see them having him and Del Rio in main events. I'd say the Raw side of 'Mania will have Orton vs. Punk, Cena vs Punk, or(and this is a very unlikely) Cena vs. Orton. I doubt that would happen. Cena isn't Heel material, and there's no way people are going to boo Randy when he is fighting Cena. Orton has major popularity now.

Orton is a pretty good heel, actually. As in the Evolution days. John Cena actually started out as a heel, I remember it..

I don't really like Cena though..

Also; as a note for the people calling it "fake". Stop it. You're only making yourselves sound stupid. Fake means that it's not actually happening. It is happening. What it is; is "scripted". There's a difference. ;)

That's very true. I'm glad it's scripted anyway. I'd say very few of the wrestler could do improv, and I definitely don't want them to act like themselves. My own life is irritating enough. I don't want to watch someone else's.

Anyway, I do agree that Orton is a good heel, but even if he tried to be a heel, I don't see the fans cheering Cena instead. I actually love Randy as a heel. He really pulls of psychotic, I guess I should say assassin, type character. He is always taking somebody out when he is a heel.

Also, as far as Cena as a heel goes. I do remember him starting as a heel, but I didn't like him then either. I don't dislike Cena, but I just can't get into his characters.

When he started, he came with another guy called B2 as a manager. B2 always used to help Cena cheat to win. He used to fight dirty every single match..

I agree Del Rio shouldn't have won the rumble as it is too soon for him to main event 'Mania. I would have rather seen Barrett win it.

Also the Miz retaining and also throwing Cena out of the Rumble match seems to me to be setting up the fact that Cena and Orton are going to form an uneasy alliance to take on New Nexus and Miz/Alex Reilly. So it seems as though we're set for more superman moments and angry mat pounding. TBH the Cena vs any Nexus storyline has gone on for so long now that it's boring the heck out of me. The only thing about Miz now being involved in it is the fact that someone may shut Michael Cole up big time as his Miz love really grates.

Orton makes a really good heel as stated as does Edge really. They both pull off that psychotic kind of character really well.

Yeah KP. That's another thing I've noticed; the commentators are incredibly one-sided now. It's just so awkward. They used to be objective about everything, only showing slight support for one side. Back when J.R and Jerry Lawler were commentating Raw, or Michael Cole and Tazz on Smackdown. Lawler and Tazz used to be the heel commentator, so to speak, but they were still good about it. Michael Cole seems to be a living advertisemant for Miz now..

I completely agree with everything you just said KPnuts. I think Orton, like I said, plays a very good quiet, cold assassin type character. Edge actually seems kinda like a psychotic dog or something. When he gets ready to do the spear, he moves alot and gets that look on his face. I love it.

I had to go to wikipedia for B2. I saw Cena's first match, but I still don't remember that guy.

edit: I agree about the announcers too. I can't stand Cole. I've heard him bash Cena, but when Nexus beats Cena down, Cole acts like it's horrible. I don't see why Cole would care about Nexus. They haven't done anything to him or the Miz, if I'm remembering correctly.

I missed those days. I wish I could have seen them and be apart of it. I bet you had a blast.

Yeah it's acting, but the moves aren't.

Exactly. They really do get hurt. Again, they wrestle hurt, and post only get peanuts, while the millionares who stub their toe or pinky can't play in what ever sport they play.

Did you see how overpowered they made John Cena? Thats soo bull & thats why I hate him soo much. It would've been nice to let Rey, king Booker, Santino or someone new win.. Other then that Del Rio guy or whatever his name is.

I am so sick of Super Cena. What was it last year? He had a Hell in a Cell match with Orton, and he was perfectly fine the next day. He doesn't even sell his injuries. I repect Jon Cena the person, since he is great worker, but Jon Cena the wrestler, I hate. I don't hate him as in cheer agaisnt him or the "bad guy" but hate how he plays his charcter. He takes the realism out of wrestling and makes it a joke. His WWE is PG and you swore, you you are grounded now, is not funny.

Also; as a note for the people calling it "fake". Stop it. You're only making yourselves sound stupid. Fake means that it's not actually happening. It is happening. What it is; is "scripted". There's a difference. ;)

Actually to call wrestling fake and berate if because it is "fake" or scripted, then you better not be watching TV shows, movies, or even video games because they are just as fake and scripted as wrestling. You are correct, anyone to say it's "fake" is just flamming now. We know it's fake. They admit it's fake. They admited it's been fake for over 10 years, so to say it's fake doesn't add anything new now, espically since we are on page 5 now. :)

I am dispaointed that Del Rio won. I don't think he deserves the fast push. I would have loved to see Jon Morrison go up against edge. What also svcks is, Jon Cena, even though not winning the Royal Rumble will face the Miz at Wrestlemania. So much for you can't have a tilte shot at Wrestlemania unless you win the RR. Now the question is, who will beat Miz at Elimination Chamber? Could CM Punk or Orton win it to be the headline at WM? I really don't want to see Jon Cena again.

Maybe we will have HHH interfere with Shamus before he enters the cell. That would be a shocker. I am disapointed that we didn't get the lights out and the GONG, for Wade Barret in the RR.

But all in all. I have to say for the first time in a long time, got my monies worth.

I agree with you Davor. I'd almost guarantee that Punk, Cena, and/or Orton are gonna be in the WWE Title match. I don't know which one is gonna beat Miz, and which one is gonna face that guy, but it's gonna be a combination of 2 out of those three.

Aslo, I'm with you on the Sheamus/HHH part. I'd say that is definitely gonna happen. The only thing that makes me doubt it a little is that they faced each other last year. Although, Taker and HBK went two straight years, but that is HBK and Taker, the two best in WWE in years, in my opinion anyway.

Oh, and I've been paying attention to the post count too. I'm so glad this is staying alive. It would be awesome if it closed because of post limit.

A long time ago, I was going to Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens. Me and my friend, were joking how wrestling was fake. (This was back when they didn't admit it, but we knew ;)) The guy behind us in the subway looked at us with a straight face, and said, "The next thing you are going to tell me, is you don't believe in Santa Clause". We just laughed at his face. It was so funny.

So who is your favorite wrestles? Mine use to be Brutus Beefcake before he became "The Barber" and I loved the Honeky Tonk Man. I swore Hulk Hogan was avoiding him because he was scared of him. :P.

Now I like Edge and Christian. I guess I am am bit bias being from Canada and they were close to home. I hate the Miz. I respect him for his work, but he does such a good job, that I hate his character, he makes me cheer when anything bad happens to him. Sadly he will be fighting Cena so I have no idea who to cheer for.

I like the Undertaker, and Kurt Angle when he was in WWE. I tired to watch TNA, but it's so bad, I just can't bothe ranymore. Like how can I get excited where they wrestle in the same Studio (not arenas but studio) how can I get excited for it?

I really do miss Eddie Gurerro. I wonder what he thinks of his wife generating the most Heat out of all the wrestlers.

My favorite wrestlers don't go back all that far. If they didn't wrestle in the 90's or later, I don't really care for them that much. Thats not to say I don't respect them though.

My favorite wrestlers in WWE right now are Randy Orton and Sheamus, I also really liked Nexus until Barrett left. As soon as Punk took over, Nexus went way down hill. I do like the Corre though because most of those guys are the real Nexus. Oh, and I gotta give credit to Edge. He is very good. I don't like him as champion that much anymore, but I am glad he has become one of the top guys. He has more championships than just about anybody wrestling now. I also like Drew McIntyre. I don't know what it is, but I love Scottish and Irish wrestlers.

As for all time, and people who arent currently wrestling. I have to mention Undertaker, HHH, and HBK. They are all amazing. Also, back in the Attitude era, a lot of my friends thought The Rock was the most awesome wrestler ever, but I always pulled for Stone Cold. He was one of my favorite wrestlers ever. I'd say my top 5 would be HBK, Stone Cold, Orton, Undertaker, and Kane. Although, I liked Kane a lot more when he was masked.

Eddie was amazing. I don't care what Flair says, Eddie Guerrero was the real dirtiest player in the game. And yeah, Vickie is probably the most hated person in wrestling right now.

My favorites are easily The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, and Jeff Hardy.

But ofcourse there were many old-timers that I liked; most of which moved to TNA like Dudley Boyz, Kurt Angle, etc..

Man, Jeff Hardy used to be my favorite. I have a hard time not liking him. He used to be so awesome. His match years ago against Taker in a TLC, or maybe ladder match, for the WWE Championship was one of my favorite matches ever.

I just can't see Jeff Hardey as a bad guy in TNA. Maybe because I didn't see his trantion from "face" to "heal", I just can't believe it. It seems so "wrong". It just doesn't look like him. And that god awful belt. It makes the Spinner Belt look Good.

I hope the young guys finally get a push. I am tired of the HHHs and Jon Cenas being champions all the time. What is more sickening than them being champions, is that they are still in the lime light when they are not champions. This just disrespects the Miz and others when they should be in the spot light. What is this? Hulk Hogan all over again? I was hoping this was done with. And WWE wonders why the ratings are down.

I wonder when someone who wins Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania, will cash it in on the same day. Espically when the main even takes so much out of the person, the person should claim it on the same day they win it. Nobody will ever expect that.

Yeah, John Cena pretty much is the Hulk Hogan of today. One thing that gets me about Heavyweight titles is how people get so many reigns now. Not so long ago, there was nobody but like Flair, HHH, and possibly some others who had a lot of reigns. Now there giving everybody a lot of chances to hold the belts. I think it is so stupid that people like Cena and Orton have so many reigns. They both have a lot of years left. Then you have Undertaker with like 7 and he's almost done. HBK got like 4 or 5, that's pathetic. Kane has barely had any respect in his long career. Mysterio has had the belt a couple of times, but not for long. The worst has to be some of the hall of famers. How has Roddy Piper not held a world title. That is just ridiculous. Jerry Lawler too. Both of them are still really popular. Both are hall of famers, but they don't get anything. Then you got Del Rio main eventing Wrestlemania in his first year. Sheamus hasn't even been around two years yet, I don't think, and he already has two reigns. And as far as Miz is concerned, Im not saying he shouldn't be champ, but his old tag partner should have it instead. Miz beats Morrison talking, but Morrison is one of the best atheletes in WWE. I should mention that I do like most of these people Im talking about, but its still ridiculous how world titles are treated. I would like to mention one more person. Mark Henry isn't really that good, but that poor guy has been around for years, and he has barely done anything. They need to throw him a bone. Maybe not a world title reign, but tag team and US title reigns

edit: I forgot to mention, I do agree with you. Some of the young guys need to be pushed, but some of the older guys who haven't had much success need to be given a little respect.

Problem is; I really don't see many likeable new guys. I like CM Punk for some reason; but he's not new. I also like Orton, but he's not new either..

Orton, Cena, Mysterio, and Kane seem to me like the only guys worth their salt now. I liked Miz as a filler, but not as a champ. It's just so wrong.. I mean, I know we're not supposed to like the heels, but still; there is such a thing as a good heel. JBL was one of the best, IMO. So was The Rock..

Just on some wrestling sites, and i think we have a quote of the year. Someone was interviewing Kevin Nash and he said something like, And I Do Not Quote :) "It's nice to be back in a building with people in it." That is so funny.
I wonder if that is a dig at TNA. LOL.

So there will be a big "announcement" tonight on Raw. I believe it will be Alberto Del Rio's decsion on what belt he will go for. Now catch this, it's not who he is going to fight (since the belt can change hands from now till Wrestlemania) but what title he will go for. Sadly I think he will go for the Smackdown Title, so this opens it up for Jon Cena to againstt Miz at WM sadly. But who knows, since WWE likes to surprise us lately.

But why oh why Eve. Where did she come from? Talk about making a story and then changing it right at the last minute with no build up. Again WWE, why do you think you are loosing fans. You have no good story writers anymore.

TBH I think that the Eve thing was a backup plan they had to put into action due to the fact that it had already been leaked about Awesome Kong interfering in the match.

Also on Favourite wrestlers of the ones now I really like, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson), and Wade Barrett. From earlier times it's gotta be Stone Cold and The Rock.
