RPin' your Skyrim ancestor

Post » Thu Oct 20, 2011 12:10 pm

This is an idea I'm currently doing. I wanted to do the entire MQ and as much other quests as possible before Skyrim comes out, but knowing this will be difficult I thought of a different idea. I already had in mind that in Skyrim I will be making a stealthy rogue, a Robin Hood sort of charming, witty, cheeky persona. But in the mean time, I wanted to make one of his ancestors on Oblivion and maybe just do the Thieves Guild, perhaps Dark Brotherhood quests and just be a rogue to RP where this strong bloodline comes from. Maybe RP that his spirit enters the body of my Skyrim character?

What do you guys think?

EDIT: Sorry, not too much a fan of polls. I prefer words and verbalized opinions.

Sweet. I don't want all my characters to become legends, seems kind of unrealistic.

Heh. Well since Renee Gade IV will probably make an appearance in Skyrim, she's going to be a decendant of RG2 and possibly RG3, assuming I ever bring 3 into the Oblivion. The Renee Gade lineage is supposed to represent my portrayal of "rogue warrior princesses" who use weapons and acrobatics before magics, kinda like Xena. It's looking doubtful I'll be able to get Renee Gade III going, though, with just 21 days to go.

That's a good point, actually. With just over 20 days to go, is this enough time to really get an ancestor going before Skyrim comes out? wouldn't you be rushing things a bit?

That's the thing. Since it would be unrealistic and (in my perspective) unnecessary to have the entire bloodline amazingly famous and legendary for being heroes and whatnot, I decided to start this game with the idea of just RPin' a sort of family background for my Skyrim character. All that this character would do is just join the Thieves Guild, do a couple of rogue'ish stuff and maybe get some money, but that's about it. Nothing legendary or anything. But regional fame across Cyrodiil.
