If you guys are on steam and having problems with autosave, run it in Offline Mode. This fixed an issue with my settings not sticking when closing and reopening the game. Additionally, autosaves are now sticking after closing and opening the game.

I don't know if going back in online mode and playing the game will screw up your saves again. My guess would be yes, so I'm leaving mine in offline mode while I play the game.
