RunFunction index greater than function count... MEN_Combat

Post » Tue Jun 07, 2016 12:35 pm

So I managed to break my game again.

I get to Jiub and an error pops up saying "Script MEN_com_init trying to RunFunction index greater than function count. The script will not run anymore."

I don't know how anything I did could have caused this. Pretty simple actions.

1_ loaded some endgame saves from online. In order to load them, I had to accept errors. That's my best guess for what might cause it, but I really wasn't under the impression that loading old saves could cause permanent script death. Seems odd.

In MGSO options...

2_ changed the in-game menus in Overhaul settings, from the dark red menus back to the vanilla menus

3_ removed shimmer effects from enchantments

4_ changed the tick box to custom heads, because I changed them a while back.

I also lowered PC speed from fast to medium, but that probably didn't change anything. And that's pretty much all I did. So it would be interesting to know why it messed up.

I googled and saw another post where someone had the same exact issue, but the only thing it said was to download the latest MWSE. I have MWSE 0.9.4.1 already... everything was working fine up until those 4 simple actions. I've of course reverted the options back to what they were before, but still no luck.

I've tried a bunch of stuff already. Two plans now, either delete MWSE and download it again... or if that fails, get rid of MEN_combat altogether. The third plan is scream for help. HELLLLP!!

My game is literally broken. Again.

Check and see if the error pops up again :D

I had a 3 month older one. Thanks, it worked!

If I mess it up again, I wonder if I can just overwrite the files again with the same version... no idea which files needed to be overwritten, but that did it.

It oddly still says 9.4.1 though.
