I personally enjoyed running/walking. To make me be FORCED to only walk would make me quite irrate.

I really like that idea. It provides a temporary speed boost but the tradeoff is that you have a chance of becoming addicted, and you have to pay for it (or find it / learn how to make it). Make the player earn that temporary ability, and don't let them abuse it by attaching a potential negative side effect.

It might be what that Boost or whatever was.

Yes I read about that chem. I've wondered if that's what it does (run faster for a few seconds).

oh, deathclaws are so misunderstood, theyre just trying to play tag, but they accidentally hurt people and then get killed

I agree, particularly a perk. It would be a change from all the boring do more damage perks, or boost your skill perks, plus it would be good for players who like to avoid trouble when they can. Or people who have a pathalogical fear of giant rad scorpions (who are just a tiny bit too fast to outrun), or people like me who absolutely HATE the way super mutants can sort of surge up behind you and repeatedly whack you with a sledge hammer while you're fleeing.

In the videos, the PC seems to move faster to me. I feel that a couple vids showed us a brisker pace, especially when we got into the third person views.

Take from that what you will.

there was some kind of food in MMM (Nightgaunt eye) that enabled you to see in the dark, but had the side affect (or maybe main affect) of making you run twice as fast. It was quite comical though, as you'd bump into everything. Literally, TOO fast for you to control. (Or maybe that was just my rig, I dunno)

I wouldn't mind a sprint function but a controller only has so many buttons.

I'll be getting the inevitable sprint mod. Soon as FOSE is ported the one for FO3 should function unless Obsidian screwed with the movement controls.
