One day, while playing oblivion, I thought to myself "how cool would it be if my Kahjiit could trigger some deep ancestral neural response and spontaneously be able to run on all fours like a lion?"

Do you think Bethesda could incorporate a power or ability like this to the Kahjiit or even Argonian races? Or perhaps it is better off left to the modders?

No, because the Khajiit Bethesda is most likely to use will not be a subspecies that runs on all fours. And Argonians do not run on all fours.

the Humanoid breed of Khajiit did not have the physiology to run on all fours effectively, taken in to other accounts how clothing/armor is placed (past games etc etc)

It would be cool, but I am gonna vote no. They are a beast race yes, but are still humanoid. Good idea, but I don't think it fits.

they are designed to walk on two legs. Their tail is for balance, so i don't think they would ever have a reason for running on 4 legs.
