Running Skyrim in my PC

Post » Mon Mar 25, 2013 8:12 pm

I run Skyrim in my PC with High configurations.

I usually drop anti-anolyzing and anti-strophic to 4 stamples.
Then I use Realistic Lightning Overall and Static Mesh Improvement to get better graphics.

Although I have more mods, they don't affect performance.

My problem is that skyrim runs at 20/22 fps in the wild and 17/19 fps in cities.

My PC has 4 GB ram, Nvidia Graphics Card 610M 2GB, Intel Core i5 dualcore 2450M goes up to 2.4GHz/s (turbo bust up to 3.2GHz/s) and my hard drive runs at 7200 rpm.

How do I increase performance?
I really wanted to play skyrim at 25 fps minimum.

That graphics card svcks. Try lowering resolution or turning anti-aliasing off. And uninstall Static Mesh Improvement.

SMIM is quite a hit on performance - try unistalling it.

I have a similar laptop, but with a better GPU. If I install any graphics enhancements, I always need to experiment with the game's settings to get sufficient performance - with medium settings as the template. My PC just can't handle high settings AND mods, I highly doubt yours can (even if SMIM is the only problem here).
