Russian, Chezh, Polish version (1C-Cenega) - is totally broken and doomed again!
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Ausir/Update_on_New_Vegas_updates,_official_and_otherwise

This version uses different steam id, different directory and even different achievements registry and this causing next problems:
1)Game related news not displayed
because original version uses this link
http://store.steampowered.com/news/?appids=22380 and all news assigned to it
when enplczru 1C-Cenega version uses this link due of different ID
http://store.steampowered.com/news/?appids=22490
So news just separated which totally not matching steam standards.

2)Achievements registry\database and stats page are also separated
This is original achievement registry
http://steamcommunity.com/stats/Fallout:NewVegas/achievements
and this is Russia & Eastern Europe registry
http://steamcommunity.com/stats/Fallout:NewVegas1C/achievements/
Note the 1C in url? Different id & different urls! Why in the world russian\eastern europe version have isolated & separate achievement user base????

3) Same issue with friends who play this game, userbase just separated:
this is what it shows me for global release at store page
http://steamcommunity.com/id/voodooman/friendsthatplay/22380
and this is what it shows me for abandoned russian version
http://steamcommunity.com/id/voodooman/friendsthatplay/22490
They are not in sync just as achivs.

4) No patches and no DLC available for 1C-Cenega build, so we, Russians, Polands and Chehzs forced to play buggy version with no patches (just like we did with fallout 3 which have had no patches for russian version, broken LIVE and no CD KEY). But those, who pre-ordered FNV from russia never recieved their pre-order DLC bonuses, since they work with original ID of FNV and original directory and steam dont assign them to russian version. Which is smells like fraud by Bethesda!

5) For some stupid reason directory name do not match global release, so instead of
Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas
its a
Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas enplczru
Which totally separates game versions and makes it incompatible with popular tools like Xfire & Raprt which cant recognize steam subdirectory due of ENPLCZRU suffix.

Solution is simple:
You Bethesda must make new build of game, merge Russian & Polish version with global release, move Russia version from "fallout new vegas enplczru" directory to "fallout new vegas", change id from local to same as global version have, merge Russia\Polish achievements & friends db to global one. After this, patch would be applied to one global version.

If you will not do this, than perhaps we will consider that you treat us - Russian, Polish and other east europeans not like customers but like some sort of scum bags in virtual reservation who dont even deserve to have patches... and this is discrimination and violation of our legit consumer's rights and warranties that you and law gave us, and in this case we could claim for refund or fill lawsuit.

So please, deal with this problem now!

In mother russia people dont tend to reply with jokes in threads about serious problems.
And actually there are mother Poland and father Czech republic affected by these issues, we are all share same abandoned & separated build of FNV, so now, to have patch for my LEGAL GAME FORGOTTEN BY BETHESDA & OBSIDIAN i need to download cracked repacks of patch and put files into my steam subdirectory...
They throwing out buggy & abandoned version of game to Russian market and then they wonder, why there is such a big level of piracy in Russia. Such a disrespect from publishers and semi-working "special" versions for Russians is one of the reasons why they prefer to take global version for free from warez sites.

C'mon bethesda, fix this problem!
Merge builds, and fire that "smart" guy, who's decision was "total separation of Easter europe version".

Methinks you need refreshing on what Abandonware really is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abandonware

What you need is patience. The game has been out all of 1 week.

Man, i have had patience 2 last years, while was waiting for any single patch for russian Fallout 3, Russian TES 4 Obvilion which was clearly a abandonware, because it clearly matched description from wiki - products for which no product support is available.
And now it feels that same destiny is prepared for F New Vegas 1C - Cenega build. Should i wait 2 years again for patch and fixes of these problesm?

I hoped that steam distribution method will make things different this time, but Beth. was pretty original in this case.

What i mean by original?
For example Mafia 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have had regional restrictions in russia, but russian versions used same steam id, same directory name, same achievement registry, so there was not compatibility problem. But seems like Bethesda's deployment software engineers, who deployed FNV on steam was kinda irrational or actually pretty stupid, to deploy game like this, i cant imagine how incompetent this man must be, to screw things that hard, BETHESDA REALLY SHOULD FIRE THIS MAN!
Also testers, who aint noticed that problems (especially DLC, store, achievement problems) also incompetent, and these mistakes clearly indicates low quality of their job.

And my long and bad experience with Bethesda support dont left me even little hope that this all going to be fixed.

I contacted support on steam and asked to un-register my CDKEY from account so i can return game to store and ask for refund, and as alternative asked them to edit my account and exchange region of version i own from russian to worldwide, so i can play normal build of game. But they refused to help me since Bethesda should support this game, this took 2 days. I contacted Beth support, and they did not gave me any reply for a week.

I feel so disappointed about this game((

If only this game used LIVE and was pure retail, i could at least download english version from torrents, and use my cd-key from legal russian version i bought (thats actually was the only option for abandoned russian Fallout 3), but this game uses damn steam, and its architecture so damn ugly, stupid, locked and awkward, which makes things even worse.

I had the same thing with F3, and now with FNV, last time i buy from Cenega.

If cenega keeps screwing with us and we get "2nd category client" support, then i rather download cracked version that is actually working.\

And what kind of crap is that i couldnt play my preordered game while cracked version was already surfing on the net for 3 days?

Ridiculous. All you do [cenega an to part bethesda] is promote piracy in poland/russia/czech by giving us such unsupported/delayed support for this.

Really, my last buy of a product distributed by cenega - never again.

I do not understand. Can i buy F3NV on steam site with Russian language (texts, voices) ? I want not to make any deals with 1C.

When i go to steam site, some box has follow text: " The following languages are supported in your region. English, Polish, Russian and Czech. "
But in right panel i see follow: " Languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish "

What is mean? Bethesda made Russian version or something wrong?

no offence but with bethesdas track record for ignoring and not supporting the translated other region versions of their games you should have learned not to waste your money on a legal version....

Bethesda is not going to change, they are one of the greediest, corporate, money hungry companies about and they don't care about their customers in the long run, They just see us as walking talking wallets. They don't ever support their games, us people with english version games will be lucky if we even get a patch which fixes any of the bad bugs in this game (im talking about engine bugs).... They have been this way for the past decade, and i dont see them changing anytime soon ! What bethesda needs is a real gaming flop on their hands so they loose millions, that might wake them up that you shouldnt screw with and ignore the consumer.

So instead of ranting here, email valve and complain that the game is broken and wont work for you, make it polite and still threatening and you should get a refund !!!! ;)

Sorry, I appreciate the problems, but we will not tolerate discussions of torrented and cracked versions of the game being downloaded.
