A Sabre Cat for friend

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:31 am

http://profile.imageshack.us/user/gettyuara/ Here is the link of my character Gettyuara with her Sabre Cat.

Can you see how sweet is that Sabre Cat that I just found in Helgen? All the dead bandits have been killed by it. Now suddenly a Bandit Thug appeared and as the Sabre Cat jumped toward him he tried to kill it with fire balls but no way my new friend killed him.

So if someone already encountered this Sabre Cat, please let us know.. :biggrin

I've heard of the one inside a bandit cave that won't attack you if you release it, but this is a first for me.

Nah, standard HTML img tags don't work here - you have to post links.

Oh thank you. I'll try. Though I never did it. Too bad as it's awsome to see that.

I found him on my last character and it was a tough place to clear even with a follower and reanimated bandit corpse on my side. I tried a couple times without releasing the cat because I wasn't sure how that would play out, finally I just said "screw it" and managed to get the key and open the cage. He went after the last few bandits and took out all but the boss, who finally killed him but only after taking quite a bit of damage himself. I just watched until the cat went down and then we finished off the last guy ourselves.

I'm sure there is but I can't remember it. Don't even remember if I went there on a quest for something or just wandered in for the lulz. I don't remember finding anything of particular value there so probably the latter.

They killed the cat on my assassin chick. With her sneak skill I had no problem taking out most of the bandits, but to be impish I released the sabre cat (I picked the lock while crouching on top of the cage. :P). He killed a few bandits, but one of them eventually killed him. :(

Be careful because I think what happened in my game (scenario above) was that I was pretty high level when I came across Lost Knife (60s). As a result, the bandits had kinda' leveled with me and had a higher cap than the sabre cat so they were able to defeat it.

Well, my current character is only Lvl 16 or so, so I may just be good to go. I'll just save right before entering like I always do, and if they hand me my own ass, then I'll just reload. lol

Yeah, definitely save because at 16 with level scaling it's possible you'll find a skeever in that cage instead. :nono:

Using only console commands I had a miniature Sabre Cat for a pet.
Though that's not the same premise. >.<

Out of all the creatures I made into pets, it was the most realistic. It'd actually stop and lye down when I stopped and it looked pretty awesome too. I had spiders, skeletons, Wisp mothers and Dwarven Spheres too. I tried to get one of those Magical Anomalies but the AI just didn't work, it wouldn't follow.

Eh, this was a good while ago for me, but it immediately attacked me when I opened its cage. :sadvaultboy: I also picked the lock while being on top of the cage.

Yup. I'm more worried about the Bandits, but since all of my Assassin's are quite liberal in their use of poisons... I think I may be ok. But we'll see.

I didn't get to go there last night though. Stupid game full of hundreds upon hundreds of hours of content. It went and got me all distracted. Four hours after I turned on my Xbox so I could go get a kitty, I find myself on the other side of the province, following a whole chain of quest-after-quest, and farther away from my goal than I was the day before. Stupid content that works so very well together and keeps me enraptured...

I was Sneaking at the time and with being in my 60s, Sneak at 100 with all the perks, and Fortify Sneak gear on I was probably undetected and it was killed before I could see how it would've reacted to me. :(

Like the first time someone looks something up on the Internet: they find themselves following 20 links before they get the original answer and eventually forgot what they were looking for.

Eventually I started doing the opposite of what you did and now I have so many dungeons I have yet to check because I 'discover' them while I'm on my way somewhere, but keep going so I don't get distracted. I'll get back to them some day. :P

I did it  It was not easy to put that link. But now you can see Helgen with my Red Guard Gettyuara and her new friend, the Sabre Cat. Thanks for your help.

Today I've added a few more pics to show you how that kitty fights well. As I'm at Level 77 the bandits are pretty tough for it. But see how strong it is.
