Saering's Watch Dragon

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 1:17 pm

The first time I visited Saering's Watch, I battled the dragon, and dealt him a killing blow with an arrow while he was in the air. He flew off to the South, never to be seen again.

It is now about 80 game-days later, I've returned to Saering's Watch a couple times, but there hasn't been a dragon there.

So I'm wondering if anyone might know where that dragon lands when he flies away, mortally wounded? I'm thinking maybe he's waiting for me to show up and claim his soul.

It's no big deal, it's just kind of bugging me.

Playing on an Xbox.

Thanks!

Have you looked down on the beach/in the water below the cliff? If you saw him crashland near the edge of the plateau, gravity -- something the game physics actually pays attention to -- could have pulled the corpse over the edge, down to the ground/ocean below.

I have absorbed the Soul of the Dragon when travelling near White Ridge Barrow long after thinking the Dragon was lost. I have found the tear where the Dragon has crashed landed in front of Hrothmund's Barrow before, and killed the Dragon. In both of these the wounded Dragon did not make it over the ridgeline.

I have turned the dragon into an Ashpile right in front of Saering's Watch and been unable to find the Bones and Scales.

I have had a Dragon wounded on the Northmost Island fly off and then absorbed the Soul near the Skaal Village

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll go take a look.

It looks like the problem is affecting any/all dragons that "spawn" while in the air, not just the Saering's Watch dragon. There have been no "patrol" dragons, or "random encounter" dragons anywhere in all of Skyrim for many game days. I haven't had to save Alvor's backside even once! :shocking:
