I probably asked this in all possible places XD

I was hoping someone could tell me if there are any places where I can safely stash my junk, without risking it dissapearing for various reasons, though without need to buy a house or start a settlement, since none of main quest took me to either of them and I am trying to focus on dooing these and not to strafe too much cause I get out of touch with the game and its not fun

Best thing to do is probably just make a little shack in a settlement, doesn't cost much in terms of resources, and then put a couple of containers down.

The root cellar in Sanctuary (at the back of one of the houses) might be safe. It has a bed and some storage containers. Seems to be designed as a safe area, though I haven't tested the containers out yet for respawning.

You can also place down a fast travel mat, which makes it your default spawning location when you fast travel there, really handy, it's in decorations section somewhere.

I store everything in the crafting table at Red Rocket. The work stations seem to be the safe bet as they're designed to store everything scrapped on site or produced as well as shipments you buy from vendors.

I store everything in vault 111.

I place all of my gear outside of one of the rooms with a bed. Inside that room I display rare items as well as items I collect all around it.
