Safe storage in the Abandoned BoS bunker?

Post » Wed May 15, 2013 8:19 am

Just started up Dead Money and i'd like to make this my home after completing it. Is the enclave like locker by the bed, safe storage?

From my experience, and things I've read online, yes, it's safe.

It is safe, although you don't want to use the "Drop Box" as that will respawn.

I used to use it as player housing before Dead Money came out.

This is what the wiki page said for the storage, so its why I asked here to see what others had to say.

  • It appears that storage in the Bunker does not reset, thus making the bunker an ideal location for player living, with ample storage, a reloading bench, a workbench, quick access via fast travel, and unlimited access to Sierra Madre Chips and the Vending machine. There is, however, no water, if playing in hardcoe.

I just don't like the words 'it appears' lol so thats why I wanted to question it here. I've been using the chest in Hidden Valley, when the BoS strip you of all your gear, and put the bomb collar on you. I find that chest to never reset, so I have been storing everything there for now.

You may want to avoid those scripted containers. While it should take some in game events, such as the script that is triggered by the BOS Quest, for the container to be manipulated, this also put's it in the same group of containers that can get reset if a cell ever gets reset. I tend to avoid any container that the game would ever do something with, even if that something is tied to one quest or event in the game.

Note, as long as you keep returning to the area within 30 days of each visit, the cell should never be reset by the game. Which is probably why you have never lost anything due to a glitch.
