I'm just playing the game after a few years, so I can't remember. I found a cave I would like to live in and I wonder if I leave stuff lying around is it safe? I know containers will respawn, but how about just leaving stuff on the floor? I am on PS3.

You will be fine leaving stuff on the ground/floor with one very small caveat - rarely, items can sort of 'melt' into the floor. It is a well-known phenomenon, but as I said very rare. Even if an item sinks partially into the floor, you can normally pluck it back out.

Don't enemies respawn in caves as well though? Or the whole thing resets in 3 days if you don't go in? I don't really know how it works either which is what's stopping me clearing out a fort to live in.

This is correct. All cells reset if the player hasn′t visited it in three days (of course in-game :rolleyes: )

Ok, thanks! I guess I will just have to make sure I "go home" every day or not leave anything valuable!

I've left items in a cave before and they didn't disappear after 3 days.... The bandits did respawn though.

No they don′t disappear if you′ve left them on the floor, only if you leave them in chests.

I would advise you not to live in a cave anyway. I mean what are a Orc.
