Maybe you could team up with khugan, http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=953677&st=82 :).

Perhaps, but I think he's busy with his own projects at the moment.

If anything, I will finish the http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b9/bchick222/other%20projects/troll_wip-1.jpg cuirass :)

I'm very glad to hear that. Looks like you're off to a good start there... :)

nicely done Edoc?sil !

I agree. :)

A http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b9/bchick222/other%20projects/troll_wip2_COLOR.jpg to see sorta where my mind is heading (still more to do though in terms of geometry). Light tan is cloth, brown is leather, and I think the bones are obvious ;)

Only thing I worry about is polys. I'll worry about that later though :)

I was looking around TES Nexus for armor which has spikes on it, ala the Bloodmoon nordic mail, and I came across http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13591. It's a modder's resource, so if you're interested... :)

I'm not quite sure if I can get the stahlrim weapons into good enough shape by tomorrow so that I could post the screenshot compilation... but I can promise at least one screenshot compilation for tomorrow, since the nordic silver weapons are already done.

Looking good, thanks for the effort! :)

Thanks! :)

My studies have been pretty intensive time-wise lately, so I've only been able to work on the mod on weekends, but I hope I can get more work done next week when I have some remote classes.

I just received my copy of Photoshop CS4 Extended on Friday, so I'm still working out the new features. Since I'm a student I got it for a little over 310 euros (incl. shipping and VAT) under the Education license. It's the same software as the full priced one (can be used for paid work after graduation etc), the only difference is the price.

My hat is off to you. I attempted once to do the Troll Bone Armor for Sage, but it was a disaster. This is looking very nice.

Haha, thanks. Of course, I am having a bit of artistic license with it. It isn't going to be exactly like the MW version. Hopefully I won't run into problems with it when the mesh is finished.

Speaking of which, got more done. I will post pictures as soon as I get home from work.

Great news, Edoc'sil. I hope to get the stahlrim weapons finished next weekend myself. I can probably get around posting some screens on Sunday even if I don't get them all done.

Edit: I'll have to recreate all the trollbone textures as well, I'm not even remotely pleased with them at the moment.

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b9/bchick222/other%20projects/troll_wip_ANUDDA.jpg it is. Did some teeth work on the chest (still playing around with it... ideas are welcomed), added neck detail (supposed to be cloth, and is attached to back cloth as well as some more cloth areas to come), fleshed out the cloth piece on the back.

I would have done more but I have a question:

Should I leave the arms bare, or model like they will have some sort of covering (like cloth or leather or something)? I kind of like the idea of keeping them bare, but I figured I would get opinions.

Very nice. I'd go with bare arms as it was in Morrowind - it'll look great once the pauldrons are there. I'm not too big on the teeth on the cuirass, since the skull helm already has teeth on it. But if you can make them fit (i.e. not positioned in a straight line), why not...

Indeed. I wasn't too happy with the teeth. I was trying to avoid just slapping a random bone plate on there, but I may try it and see how it looks.

Annnnd arms will be bare. However, I might put a bracelet type thing on his arm (around the bicep, not wrist.. not sure what they are called). We will see how it looks.

The bone plating might work better than the teeth in my opinion, but ultimately it's up to you.

I think the term for that is 'armband'.

March 29th update. A lot of RL stuff is going on at the moment, so I haven't been able to finish the stalhrim weapons - the dagger is the only one completed so far. Oh, and next Wednesday is April Fool's Day, so don't believe everything you see on the forums. ;)

Say "bracer" and you'll be right.

Bracers are used to cover the forearm, not the bicep, which Edoc'sil was referring to. ;)

Thanks. Take your time with it, I'm not moving very fast with the weapons either at the moment. It's funny how there's no time for modding when I feel like doing it, and when I'm dead tired there always seems to be an hour or two available...

Yeah, I played around with putting a plate of bone on the chest.. I didn't like it. I'm going to still mess around with it.

April 2nd update. The stahlrim weapons are almost finished, only the war axe and shortsword remain to be done. I'm also pleased to say that the stahlrim weapons have turned out great, probably being some of my better work to date. Screenshots will be available once the entire set is completed, presumably on Sunday.
