I'm also announcing my own retirement from TES modding - it's been great modding Oblivion all these years, but now it's time to move on.

Please do check in from time to time once again.

Does this mean that since you are retired, that I can put your armor and weapons into leveledlist now? I know I should not say that, since, I already have a ton of projects, but, just have to ask once again?

Yes, please go ahead and add them if you like. :)

We talked about it (adding SSA to FCOM/OOO lists) with dev_akm months ago, but I guess that project never got off the ground, so to speak.

Yeah, and I have not heard from Dev_akm in about a month either, but, I am pretty sure the project did not get started. Due to Real life duties that Dev_akm has once again.

The weapons are not so much a problem of getting them balanced into game, it is the armor is a little more difficult to do since it is different than most other types of armor. Rating and Stats wise. Which a mobs/omobs patch could be made after all to address that stuff..

I will put it on my todo list..Medium Priority..How does that sound..

Sounds good to me, there's no need to get it done fast, the mod's been released for so long now. Do whatever you want when it comes to balancing the stats for whatever mod combination as well. :)

Is this balanced enough to use with FCOM, or is this mainly for use with vanilla Oblivion?

SSA 2 was designed using the vanilla weapons and armor statistics as reference, so it'd be a fair assumption that it works best with vanilla Oblivion. I haven't tested it with FCOM though, so I don't know what kind of an experience you would get then.
