Simple quote, not so simple meaning.

I'm just curious to hear what you all think the ending meant. What was the meaning or purpose behind that quote, in your eyes?

This is going to be the most pretentious thread on the forum. It sounded poetic because it was the end for some really old veterans working on a Fallout game and I give my props too them for the work they did.
