I trust Zenimax to try to turn a profit, and that's all anyone should realistically trust any business to do. Dropping the price of exclusives (or anything else) after people stop paying the initial price is, ironically, a means of turning a profit. That's why game prices go down. That's why exclusives get offered on digital stores. That's why digital stores continually rotate discount prices for different items.
This isn't a bad thing. I don't think less of a company that offers formerly exclusive items on non-exclusive terms, and I don't gripe if something I purchased suddenly drops in price shortly afterwards. It's smart business, it means more development money for ZOS, and it means that many things eventually get into the hands of people who would enjoy them but aren't willing to pay the initial prices. Sometimes the effect is a bit comical (like the aforementioned Founder title), but, hey, that's all part of the show.
