I keep hearing about it, but I don't really know what a salmon roe is. I know it's an ingredient used in alchemy, but that's it. Any definitions?

Salmon Roe is the eggs form the Salmon in the rivers. It can only be harvested by catching or killing a "jumping" Salmon at the various waterfalls.

There have been reports of people harvesting from killing Salmon in the lakes, but that seems to be a bad misconception. None of those have been verified by any reliable source. Perhaps there might be some timing trickery or what have you, but I find it hard to believe the mechanics can be manipulated like that, when the Roe script is only tied to the jumping Salmon, in the first place.

He he! I'm afraid not, my dear. However, my user name does roughly translate from French to " I'm hide and seek". I used the Google translator to come up with a name for my https://gate.eveonline.com/Profile/Jesuis%20Cache-Cache.

He actually became like a "Mad Scientist" Necromancer, inspired from playing Skyrim. He actively seeks out beautiful female characters, tracks their movements, and pods them in assassinations. He then scoops up the frozen corpses and takes them to his station. From there he creates an Alt character in their likeness and they become part of the Jesuis clan. All named Jesuis Projet followed by a number. Also in French.

The latest is Jesuis Projet Neuf "I'm Projet Nine".

I know that's waaay off topic  and viewed as dumb and pointless. I just got carried away. I guess the short answer is simply... no.

Well running out of Salmon is not necessarily a bad thing. That just means you are good! :icecream:

Ruins the fun, I have three champion fish catchers, I was so disappointed when I started my PS3 character and went fishing, only to remember I had no Hearthfire, promptly fixed that.
