Same Sawmills In Every Town

So I'm concerned about the repetitive textures and buildings being used to pretty much just copy&paste towns across the land

Then do tell me how many variations of sawmills or windmills you can have real life or a game. People worry too much, this game isn't about the graphical level for me, rather the aesthetic of it all. Next-gen is still crappy when the style is completely lacking. WoW is a good example how stylized art can make up for a relative old graphical engine/level.

Oh no I've played the demo at the events and I've seen them, I'm just wondering if they will be changed in the last 2 weeks we have left

Perhaps it was a door to door sawmill salesperson.

They're going to have different architecture in different regions like in OB so I presume the saw mills will be different! Can't believe you're worrying about this!

Relax. It doesnt really bother me to be honest! They've emphasised the textures and buildings are varied throughout the cities thats enough for me.
A few sawmills looking identical won't bother me. I'll go in there to earn some quick cash not to stare in wonder at the architecture of a petty saw mill.

I hope all towns have unique looks and textures, gonna be disappointed if I'm not sure which major city I am in.

I hope every town has a guy who look up at me as he logs so I can get some logs ( n such) and the game doesn't glitch because he was trying to look at me but I was battling something

Better not be, better not be :P

I won't really mind all that much though they do have a big world to create after all.

I think you worry too much too! Still even Dragon Age II was enjoyable on other aspects hopefully :P

Don't even say the-game-that-must-not-be-named on these forums! We don't want Skyrim being infected with that.

I"m sure the sawmills will all be the same, basically. No biggy though. It's a game. What do you expect?

It's asking too much to have unique structure in every town. Aside from having to individually model and texture them they'd have to script them as well to have the guy taking the logs to the right place, cut them, etc.

It's too much work to justify the end.

At least it wont be too much of a culture shock when you want to go and work in a different town. You already know where everything is!

Have you guys ever play Dragon age the Origins? I always get the part with the Witch of the Wild Morrigan, and then I can't take over and have to chat through the voice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80yE9jJfdkQ on this game I expect it's more voice but really boring because it sounds like someone talking into a microphone in character in a studio. So it makes me think of my gay friend who hates witch women and I went and hang out with him. I'm terrible at fantasy game solo >>>>>>>>.<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Elys do you like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlYKJ1MaDPg&NR=1

I'd love to have a chat for multiplayer! Since it's on Steam, we could talk about our encounters n such!

I'm not terribly plagued by the reuse of assets in a game with a scope this large. There may very well be 2 or 3 variants of everything but each them will still be used more than once. Furniture, workstations, windmills, saw mills and much more WILL be used more than once. It's just not feasible to have unique assets in every inch of the game.

Have some of you not been reading every iota of information on this game :P? That's okay, but rest assured.. I can't link anything but I know one of the devs talked about the fact that different areas/towns have dramatically different architecture and feel to them. They took the time to make it seem like they were built by different people.
