I purchased the game for a few reasons, the main being the sandbox editor that usually gets bundled with crytek games (everyone wants to 'splode barrels, right?)

Are there any plans for an editor or is crysis 2 going to be modless and continue as a vanilla game?.

Lack of a modding sub-forum also concerns me too.
