so you think the reason we might not get it is cause its a multi platform editor and we mustnt have those things?

They want to to lisence and buy their editor.

"There are several kinds of licenses available for CryENGINE? 3 (you can find details below). In order to obtain information about availability and pricing, we first require that you register on this website, by clicking on the "Register to apply" links on this page. We will then send you a copy of our Non-Disclosure Agreement, which must be returned to allow any confidential conversation. Additionally you will receive a copy of our Evaluation License Agreement, which needs to be signed and returned before you receive any copy of our Software"

Those licenses they are talking about is pretty much developing on the Cryengine, which is ENTIRELY different from an Editor.

Posibly, but from the looks of it. "sandbox 3" is part of the Cryengine 3 package; but how they have gave no word on it worrys me.

Maybe there is no editor (yet) because the game has Choreograph Sandbox. I sort of doubt it though, but who knows?

Its kinda retarded, the people who pirated the game get more than the people who bought it.

I doubt it works like this. Like Unreal Engine, Unity some other engines, you can download the editor and the SDK. Licences are to publish products that will have any capital income. You can build mods or free stuff but no for comertial use.

the Sandbox 2 was included on crysis 1, and you could even make complete games with it, however you were not allowed to distribute them commercially (i think not even for free) without a Commercial License from crytek

so even if someone made a game with sandbox 3 and sell them without a license then crytek would sue them

It was that way with Sandbox 2 / Cryengine 2. The sandbox was made available to anyone but if you wanted to develop using the entire engine then you had to buy a license.

Most likely, Crytek hasn't finalized just what their arrangements with the public will be so they took the sandbox out. And maybe they want to make sure it's technically fit for consumption. The licensing issue is unrelated.
