Satisfying Moments during your journey in New Vegas (may con

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 8:29 pm

What is your most satisfying, gruesomely awesome, or epic moment(s) you've had in New Vegas?

Me? On my new play through, I assisted the friendly ghouls in repconn and watched as they launched into space cinnimatically!

I wished them farewell, and left the launch pad, only to be greeted by the sweet, sweet sound of ride of the Valkyries! Hot damn! In my year or 2 of owning this game, I have never experienced this epic moment of pure awesomeness.

I love you fallout. I wanna have your babies.

This belongs in the spoiler section if it may contain spoilers.

And the most satisfying moment for me was watching the ending slides of my first House playthrough. Just how everything worked out was to my liking.

Might want to hide those.. spoilers. Note that they are what they are to.

On topic.

My most satisfying moment would have to be having a car thrown at me. Thought it would end in 3, but nope. It haunts you till the end.

Main Game:
Spoiler
Yes Man tossing Oliver off of Hoover Dam.

DLC: Walking the High Road, blasting Deathclaws off the edge with a hunting shotgun (thanks to the "And Stay Back!" perk of course).

Lonesome Road, it just felt like the climix to a epic journey, especially the closer you got to the end, you could just feel the tension building.

Clever, undead fiend, clever...

And true at the same time!

Oh and moderators, if you feel this should be moved to the spoilers section, no problem!

Lonesome Road and Dead Money, easily.
Play them with a Dead-is-Dead character. Talk about getting really into a game...

Fighting Rawr with my unarmed only character. When the cave in happened and Rawr charged at me my only thought was "It's on now."

There's his stats. Of course it was awesome. All I had was advanced riot gear and a super heated saturnite fist.

Explaining to the NCR soup kitchen that I have a friend but didn't bring him because I thought he might not get served, being a Local. The woman in charge agrees with me, explains how things are complicated and they're really only giving food to their own citizens...but then hands me a meal to take back to my friend anyway.

Also, coming back from rescuing hostages in Novac. Having defied a direct order by rescuing them instead of pulling a mercy-kill, I'm prepared to give the Ranger in charge a piece of my mind...only to have him say that I turned out to be the hero and he the sap.

Something about seeing the NCR flirt with corruption and then reaffirm their values just makes me want to hug each and every one of them, down to the last trooper.
