Save Teddy!

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:13 am

My characters have an overriding goal in addition to following in their father's footsteps... save every teddy bear in the Wasteland! Teddys are people, too!

:P

This is especially important when some big, ol' mean Behemoth gets upset when she frees Teddy from his cage, or rescues Teddy from being tortured by Raiders...

I can never trust a gnome again after finding the one in the Presidential Metro. Pervert.

Hey, that's my girlfriends bed !

She also has a hello kitty keyboard, bed and clock on the wall, hello kitty mouse pad and a clip-on hello kitty bow on her monitor. Even her 10 yo thinks that level of devotion to hello kitty is bizarre :)

Love the teddies, GhoulsRPeople2! :D

What mod did you use to get the variety? I have teddy backpacks and teddy medic, but I think I missed this one...

They're from http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3737. My favorite is the pirate teddy.

I prefer Garden Gnomes for their more sinister note on the game because for some reason they can survive a nuclear war and tie teddy bears up to monorail tracks, and murder if they are provoked! (If you found some of the more detailed stuff on Broken Steel, you'll know what I mean.)

The gnomes and teddy bears are a diverse crowd in my FO3 universe, and have no problem with inter species relations.

You can often find dozens of them in my Tenpenny suite, playing limbo (lined up behind two nuka-cola trucks with a pool stick laid across), partying hard, and listening to the jukebox amidst a pile of empty and full booze bottles, cigarettes, empty boxes of gum drops(?!) and jet.

After a hard few days of wandering, I used to come home and scold them for the mess they’d made. Now I just shake my head and join in the fun. Somehow I always blackout before I figure out the significance of the gum drops.

Well, my characters just feel that this Wasteland needs a serious helping of cute! :D

... Teddys help balance out the horror of gore bags and other elements...

Now this is the reason I want to play on the PC.

I used to save every teddy I could find. My Megaton house was covered in them, now I don't anymore. I can't remember why.

My characters always carry a teddy bear with them. I also save the ones I pick up and throw them on my bed. That Bear Brothers mod is wonderful! So nice to have some variety. I tend to collect pre-war money too, and throw it on the desk beside the bed.

If I played on the computer, I would happily show you my Teddy collection. The entire Megaton home is filled with them- on the bed, the file cabinet, the couch. I've stolen children's teddy bears.

I read this and began to weep....If only you knew how many lost there lives trying to contain Teddy, I still have nightmares. We thought no one will mess with a Behemoth but were we wrong. Some vault kid fresh in the wastes kills our best line of defense and lets the darkness free.
Good lord you have doomed us all
doomed us all
