I saved Brother Verulus...did you?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:09 pm

I like Markarth a lot. People are very friendly to me.

I have not spent much time there. There must be nice people there though.

Now that I have got rid of the cannibals (and the problem with my graphics card has been fixed) i might spend some time there to find them.

Well, I'd agree - though as soon as I started having odd feelings about the quest line I looked it up on the wiki. Then I reloaded. Not going there EVER.

You can actually go back there and investigate the tombs but kill her instead of listening to her. Then that Priest will become a Follower.

I was a hungry vampire so I ate him. Do you get any extra dialogue If you save him?

Yeah, spend a little time in Cidhna Mine and see if you still like the people. I've killed all the non essential Silverbloods and numerous guards. Woe unto the guard who wanders into the shadows in Markarth. My home there is crammed full of guard helmets as souvenirs.

I'm on Silverbloods side with that one. The Forsworn is an old tradition that needs to end. Killing their leader was the best way to end that. Actually, the alchemist in Markarth will tell you same thing basicly.

So... Yeah. I understand it all. I got thrown into the mine because the Silverbloods thought I would cause trouble but instead, I helped them and saved a ton of trouble for them.

I also like Silverbloods because they are on the Stormcloaks Side.

Oh ho... but I killed Manadnach as well. I don't like being railroaded.

Namira's Ring use to be important, to me, but then it took a Crap in the Enchantment.

I can't remember a grosser quest in TES than this. I executed them all for making me vomit in my mouth just a little - and I also met up with the random guy who is not too bright. He hailed me as the Champion of Namira and offered me first taste of some dead guy so I turned him into a snack for any carrion eating animals in the vicinity. Turnaround is fair play.

Markarth has smelled bad to me ever since.

I turned into a werewolf and ate that guy. Seemed like a just solution.

My first character killed him, I wanted the Ring for the achievement. My second never did that quest, he was too busy robbing people blind (both as a thief and at the marketplace).

My current character will do the quest, and will kill him because it fits his RP to do so. Then again, eating people isn't cannibalism for my characters, since I always play Argonians and don't eat my own kind; instead, the Ring is basically a permanent coupon for free takeout from the local buffet.

I'm guessing we can't see the apparatus unless we do the quest, right? I went into Reachcliff Cave and came to a vertical sarcophagus that didn't open. When I looked a the map the cave seems to continue behind it; I suppose the sarcophagus only opens for Eola during the quest.

Markath is freaking messed up... most of the town are cannibals, there's a dwemer entusiast in there with a temper problem, most of the politicians are corrupt, the town was taken away from the forsworn who now want to kill everyone, the guards are bribed, the house is hunted by a freaking deadra, the poor live in extremely bad conditions and falmer live right below ready to kill...

Surely a place you would want to raise a family in right?

You have to be careful when finishing that quest... if you finish it during the day alot of innocent people will end up dead, including the blacksmith orc...

Whenever i finish that quest, i kill ALL of the forsworn, i was only using then to get out of the mine anyways.

I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti - both my characters. Perhaps my next character will save him, we will see.

Eek, it was the daytime when I finished that quest.

I never thought about killing the Forsworn after getting out of the mine.

Ah well it is too late for that now.
