I saved Brother Verulus...did you?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:49 pm

First 2 times i lured Brother Verulus to that cave and let the cannibals kill him so i could eat his flesh. But with my third character i did the same, but before they had a chance to kill him, i killed all of the cannibals and saved Brother Verulus. Did you saved Brother Verulus?

In case you don't know who i'm talking about:

I ate him, it was one of the few chances I had to practice cannibalism, so why not?

I ate him. I noticed a lot of my friends/neighbors from Markarth were there, so Im glad I did. They seem to be a bit extra nice to me now.

Well, I wanted to save him, really I did. But I wanted the ring more, and I hadn't had breakfast that morning, and one thing led to another...

Why do I need to eat him when I'm a werewolf? If i'm hungry then I'll turn into a werewolf and start chowing down on bandits.

But yeah I'm trying to make the decision to save him from getting eaten.

I changed my mind at the last moment. Everybody in the room died...on fire. Now that twerp at the general store gives me lip every time I go in there. I'm telling you, Markarth is rotten. Rotten to the core.

I saved him. Knocked off Eola's and the rest of those monsters' heads and got him out of there. Kill and eat Priest of Arkay to appease a bunch of nasty cannibals and their silly Daedric Lord? No thanks.

Spared him on both.

1st Character: killed Eola as soon as I figured out what she was up to - I think it was right outside Reachcliff Cave.
2nd Character: killed Eola as soon as I saw her.

On both my characters I only got him as far as the cave so I could transform into a werewolf and whole-sale slaughter and eat all the cannibals. Makes you respect your place in the food chain when a higher organism is ripping into your guts eh?

Ate him only because Eola is such an awesome follower.

I'm still deciding what to do. On one hand, my character is "good" (i.e. she'll only kill when attacked, or when feeling very hungry as a werewolf), on the other hand she's very (and I mean VERY) tolerant and tries to respect everyone's way of living. Plus, Eola is cool. So I'm still indecisive on whether I'll just leave the quest active since Verulus didn't do anything wrong to me (and doesn't really look very tasty ... :P), or actually eat him as a werewolf (preferably in the vicinity of the cannibals, but I'm not sure whether they won't turn hostile then).

Even as an Anthropology major, I just can't stomach this kind of moral relativism. What about Bro. Verulus? Are you respecting his way of living by killing and eating him? Eola and her crew are evil. Unless you rp an evil character, they must be stopped. There's no room for tolerance here.

I saved him. It was great to kill them all. The woman who told me that she was glad I had been invited soon changed her mind about that

Yup that is true. I like my home there, but not the people in the city.

Funny thing about this.. When I first did this, I turned into a Werewolf and ate him like that XD. Didn't knew they meant cannibalism. Now I do and I save him now instead of 'eating him'. That one chick was.. you may say... creepy..

Well, I'd agree - though as soon as I started having odd feelings about the quest line I looked it up on the wiki. Then I reloaded. Not going there EVER.
