I'll probably head to Riverwood and get a job at the saw mill. I'll probably stay in Riverwood for a couple of days and stay in the local tavern. Then, I'll begin the main quest.

First I'll find a base of operations in riverwood, preferably a cave just outside of town, then spend around 3 days trying to find rumors of the dark brotherhood and watching the townspeople, then I will make my first kill.

I'd like to try and find a friend... I think it's going to be rather lonely otherwise. ...or an enemy, if s/he happens to ask for it. I might try and visit a tavern and see if there's anything interesting going around, you never know. There's alot, but all in all, I think I'll start off with the "calmer" approach. Not too much combat, more focus on dialogue and admiring the view of what Bethesda have created.

Go to the nearest mining facility and get as much ore as I can carry, then go smith the hell out of it, then realize I need wood too. Sweet

Probably explore the surrounding area. I won't go out of my way but just to check out the environment a little but after that it's off to the main quest.

Find tavern, buy drink, ask directions to College of Winterhold, buy drink, bore fellow drinkers about border guards thinking possession of pointy ears is a capital offense, buy drink, sleep, head for Winterhold, with a spell in one hand, and a bottle of fine wine in the other.
