I have a vault with about 70 dwellers. The app crashed and whenever I try and load my vault, it crashes and the app quits. I've restarted my iPad, closed the app, made a new vault, changed settings - no luck.

A bit pissed off as I've spent about ￡10 on lunchboxes and Mr. Handy's. Bethseda Support simply advises me to post here. Not exactly sure what the community can do!

Anyone else having these issues?

Having the same issues. It won't load my vault and crashes. Or as I build and expand it crashes as well.


Any fixes out there for this? I have already lost one vault, don't want to risk losing another.

I have the same problem. Crashes every single time during loading and I tryed everything the support page says and you cant even contact Bethesda. All you get is an automated email that pretty much says well your out of luck svcks if you spent money in our game but your not going to be getting that back. I have $20 worth of lunchboxes in my vault that I can't even access.

I've been having issues with fallout shelter for the past couple of months. I am unable to load the game, as it continually crashes on the initial title card and will not proceed any further. I had been waiting to contact tech support in the hope that an update would fix it, but the most recent one has not. I've tried a complete reboot with no success. I am hesitant to delete and reinstall as I bought approximately $30 worth of lunch boxes and do not want to lose progress. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I have the same issue. I opened the day prior to new update and it crashed soon after opening. I tried new update but same issue persist.

I have iPad mini with retina display on iOS 7.1.1 (11D201). I am afraid to delete the app because many people did that and were not able to get old vault back.

Same issue here too. Vault 101 (about 60 dwellers) is not loading on my iPad Air 2. I've been working in France the last week while the latest update was released, mostly without Internet connection. But still the Game crashed a couple of days ago (Wednesday 14th Oct I think). The game crashed out while I was playing it (offline I think). Now the game starts to load but then crashes out after a few seconds. It leaves a blank window open in the background but switching to this window does nothing, it just crashes again.

I don't want to delete the game and loss all the Mr Handies I've bought... Really shouldn't have to anyway!!!

I'm pretty annoyed with this crap happening. It's an Ipad, the OS is locked down and the apps should run... I'd expect this kind of hassle on my Android tablet but I'm not impressed with this. Incidentally, my Google Nexus Android tablet game vault 003 which is much more advanced with well over 100 dwellers is still running fine! So this seems to be a specific iOS issue...

As for Beths support, directing me to post my issue here is as about as much help as me sticking my finger in my ear while trying to fart... Thanks guys. I'll think three times before purchasing anything from you again. You make the game as damned near impossible to play without spending at least ￡10/15 or more on Mr Handy's, not to mention the lunchboxes which often have nothing better than a bunch of caps in them. svck the punters for all their worth seems to be your mantra!

Now I don't mind spending a tenner or so on a bit of distraction (it passes the time in airports!), but I very much dislike your petty money grabbing policy just to make the game playable... Let the user decide what the game and developer is worth investing in please! I say 'playable' in the widest possible context as it's currently very much NOT playable!


Update: installed today's update that was supposed to fix this problem. Game is still crashing a few seconds into loading. Ipad air 2 has been rebooted. This update hasn't fixed anything that I can see...

Same issue as mentioned above by others.


Every time I try to reopen my saved file on FallOut Shelter the game crashes to app window. I have tried every suggested solution regards reinstalls with cloud saved in correct slot etc.


Very angry at the moment as I have invested time and money into this (￡2.99, ￡.79, ￡.79), plus I have used all the app bonuses on this particular shelter (5 free packs and character).


The app is still giving me notifications that my characters are out in the wastelands and that things are still going on. Looks like it is going to load but then crashes to app window.


I don't normally take the time to write reviews however I am so cheesed off with this that I may have to in this case if not resolved in game save or in monetary terms. As avid fan and major consumer of PS4 games (ESO being one) I was eager for the new FO4 release, unlinked yes I know but as a studio this has also tainted my view.

Running 1.2 update.

This issue occurred as soon as I had a Rush failure, which lead to an incident (radroach infestation, I believe), where no radroaches showed up, and the dwellers started shooting at invisible radroaches. This incident appeared to continue indefinitely (at least 15 minutes), blocking me from rushing anything else.

Upon restart, every attempt to load my vault crashes.

Troubleshooting steps tried:

I was able to create a new vault and load that without issue.

I restarted the device

I tried loading my vault from the "vault list" screen.

I backed up vault to the cloud, deleted and redownloaded app, then restored vault from cloud.

None of these resolved my issue, every attempt to load my vault results in a crash to the home screen.

Same issue as everyone. Loaded the app, spent a bit of money and time. Got to 70 characters and many rooms. App crashed and now can't recover. Earlier vault opens, so not an issue with the game itself. Don't want to delete or start a new vault, since just a waste of time as I would expect the same result.

The thing that annoys me is that after attempting to find a fix, I contacted service help and was directed to this board. I can see others with same problem, but NO reply or comment from a moderator acknowledging they understand there is an issue and they will be working a fix.

I am having the same problem. When the vault starts loading, it just hangs on the stand by screen. Have not been able to get into vault since the update.

+1 for this issue. Game crashes now on two separate vaults. Said there was a fire when it had been extinguished, then quit game and reloaded and the vaults won't load; game crashes.

Same here. I need a refund for all the lunchboxes and Mr. Handys I've paid for. I've a large vault with 180+ dwellers, a million dollars, and almost all items and characters collected. This is extremely frustrating.

No update I downloaded the latest version from app store. After the crash i tried a reinstall.

I lost everything too and I'm pretty pissed about it. I want my vault restored or all my lunchbox money back!!!

Perhaps we should all file a report on the iTunes App store since the developer isn't acknowledging the issue. Maybe that will catch their attention.

My vault just started crashing as well. I too had the rushing error where the game prompted a failed rush and dwellers in the room started shooting at invisible roaches. The rush feature was then hung up stating that I had already started a rush process. After a while the game crashed and ever since then I can't load into that particular vault without the game crashing. I can switch vaults and load into that vault fine, but my original vault crashes when trying to load in. Please fix the problem as I've spent time and money on the game. I have tried to restart the iphone with no luck.
