Hey Guys

I Have played for more 30 hours I was at level 11 , I had about 10 different saves slot .All was going great before yesterday , infact Suddenly when i Launched the game it said like when i launched the game for the first time . "the game is calculating your system power" or something like that then i entered on the main page and all game saves where disappeared . I've searched on my Saves fallout 3 folder , but its empty . I'm really pissed , I love this game and cant imagine to restart it after 30 hours of game and when i almost finished the game . Any Help Will be higly appreciated .

Thanks

Willy.

Are you starting the game up using the same profile as before? (GFW Live: logged into/not logged into)

That message about the game checking your hardware sounds like the FO3 ini file had been lost, and so the game needed to generate a new default one. That, combined with the missing saves, may mean that the entire ~Documents\My Games\Fallout3 folder got deleted and has now been replaced by new default game files. Check your PC's Recycle Bin.

I don't know if a System Restore Point can replace such files, not sure that it covers that. Might be worth a try though.

If the saves were deleted, then you may possibly be able to use recovery software to search for them. Try using http://www.piriform.com/recuva

@SwordWolf
I Dont know what you really mean with Live , but Since I installed the game I just launched the game normally and started a new game and later on loaded my saves . I've seen there was a live mode on the Menu but i never clicked that , so i was live logged off.
Hmm , How could that happen? I mean that Ini file had been lost ,? :o also I've checked the Recycle Bin and there are many old deleted folders , but no fallout 3 saves folder :( Also the Last recover point is of 8 days ago that means I was just at the start of the game , and I really dont want to start all again :( (raging)
@Starforce9
Thanks Man! I'll try that asap. ;)

Many Thanks Guys! Really appreciated!

Try locating all of the files with a search *.fos. If you find them, copy them back to the save folder. All of the save files have a .fos suffix. Fos stands for fallout saves. If you don't find them , you are then out of luck. If you find them, and back in the folder, the last one you save will load as they are all numbered. Make a copy to a new folder saves.back in case.
