In all the time I have owned FONV, I never saved the monorail and disarmed the bomb.

How do you do it? I tried running as fast as I could. Wearing lightest clothes. Nothing. Always blows up. No chance to disarm it.

What do you do to stop it blowing up?

I always kill the traitor, can you not disarm it that way?

How do you get to disarm it?

The sure fire way is to sneak into the tower when the traitor is there and listen to what he says to the radio. When he mentions the monorail ignore him, ignore Colonel Hsu and run straight to the monorail. You'll be able to get onto the train and disarm the bomb:
The traitor will still be in the tower after you do this so you can do whatever you want to him then, or you can talk to Colonel Hsu and get him arrested.

If you talk to the traitor before you know he is the traitor (by telling him you are looking for the traitor) then the monorail will always blow up regardless of how fast you can run. Just ignore the guy until you get into the tower. You can talk to him and kill him to get the code to disarm the bomb. After that just run quickly to the monorail.

Also make sure that you haven't told Curtis about the info you get from Boyd, about someone being at the towet at night. If you did, it's impossible to save the train without reloading.

That's what Iv'e done every time. Never spoken to the traitor about there being a traitor. Never spoke to him at all before staking out the tower. But it never let me disarm it. Not once. Would'nt even let me get on the train.

Just go to a reload before the quest and do it over again. Remember you have to go through the garage door to enter the main place, you can't go through the supply shack. Skip Hsu and just run.

Here is what I do.

• Get tower code from Boyd,
  
• Wait outside tower but hidden until 12-1am.
  
• Sneak into tower, and stay at bottom of stairs.
  
• When prompted run to the monorail and disarm the bomb.
  
• Report to Col. Hsu.
  
• Quest complete.

i always confront curtis after listening to him, kill him, get the deactivation code off his corpse, run over to the monorail (did someone say monorail!) and disarm. report to hsu, done and done. never had it explode on me once.

Yea, that's exactly what I do. I never even confront Curtis after I disarm the bomb. I just tell Hsu and that's that.

I always save the Monorail and always talk to him first. I have no problems saving the monorail at all.

Talk to him after you find him in the tower? In that case you have enough time. If you talk to him BEFORE entering the tower, then there's a problem.

I still say its just safer to ignore everyone and go straight to the monorail as soon as you hear the word bomb mentioned by the traitor.

I killed Curtis and ran to the Monorail. I've never had the problem of it leaving before.
