Savior's Of Tamriel

Post » Wed Jun 16, 2010 9:43 am

The time is set just after the assassination of the Emperor, Uriel Septim. The Mythic Dawn have opened the Oblivion Gates, Kvatch is in ruins, and the Champion of Cyrodiil has made his way to Waynon Priory. But, in a cruel twist of fate, the Champion died trying to save Martin Septim from the burning city of Kvatch.

To make matters even worse, the old Akiviri prophecy has come to pass. The Tang'Mo and Ka'Po'Tun have defeated the Snow Demons and Tsacei, they have mobilized and launched a massive assault on the eastern coasts of Tamriel. Armies of tens of thousands have landed on the shores of Morrowind, Black Marsh, and parts of Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Anvil is lost, and now the focal point of invasion into Cyrodiil.

It is now, in this dark hour that a meeting was held in the bowels of the White Gold Tower. The Elder Council, along with the leaders of each Tamrielic province have convened an old meeting to call upon the most powerful beings in Tamriel. They have no name, only to those who know them, but these beings hold the most powerful artifacts in Tamriel. artifacts that exist in old tales and in books.

A call is sent, to every corner of every province. Knights, bandits, pirates, nobles, any and all who carry an artifact are called to lead the armies of Tamriel with the help of generals and leaders alike. From the most common thief who may have happened upon an object of power, to a Knight wielding the powerful Chrysamere.

You are the ones who will stave off the Oblivion threat, and the armies of Akivir. It is a dark time, Tamriel may not stand, but with you, she has a chance.

Come, rise and be recognized, Savior's of Tamriel!

---------------

You play as the savior's of Tamriel, a group of people who wield the Artifacts of the Elder Scrolls Lore, yes that's right, you can finally have the Daedric Crescent and Chrysamere, or the Ice Blade of the Monarch. But before you get giddy, let me make some things clear.

1. Yes, you can have artifacts, BUT they MUST FIT WHO YOU PLAY. i.e If you're a Knight, wielding the Iceblade Of the Monarch wouldn't make sense because its an evil weapon, Chrysamere or the Hammer of Stendarr would make much more sense. Also, I suggest going onto the UESP wiki and doing some research on what you want, if you're not familiar already.

2. Although you wield Artifacts (and wear them, armor and jewelry apply as well, duh), you aren't gods. You ARE vulnerable, but I'm going to assume that most of your characters will be proficient in their weapons and armor so this is all OK, just don't be a one man army is what I'm saying.

3. Other than what I've stated, all other rules apply. Such as romance on a clean-like level is allowed, keep OOC's to a dead minimum, step out of line and your ass will be Ka'Po'Tun food... or worse.

You can make yourselves the basic Character sheet, but it is mandatory that you have this in it.

Artifact: (Explain how you found it and where you found it)

Char Sheet (suggested by Sabboth, so I'll add it)

Name:
Race:
Age:
Gender:
Birthsign:

Class:

Skills
Major:
Minor:
Misc:

General Appearance: (basic layout of your char's build, such as height, weight, and physical build i.e Athletic, skinny etc, etc)
Detailed Appearance: (Facial features, hairstyle, facial hair, tattoos, piercings, etc etc)

Weapons: (Artifacts and/or regular weapons if you so choose them, remember the limit to artifacts though)
Armor: (Same as weapons, remember the limit)

Artifacts: (Explain how you found them and where you found them)

Backpack: (what you carry with you. Potions, food, drinks etc, etc)

Bio: (Tell me your story, and more importantly tell me when, where, and how you found your artifacts. Make it good. Whether you sold your soul or took a life for it, maybe you did a deed for an Aedra or Daedric Prince)

Or you may use the Char sheet in Illusionary Nothing's Rp guide, which is by far better than this Sheet. Either is fine as long as you make it good.

Also, I realize that some people may want the same artifacts, all I can say is, First come first served. If you want a certain artifact, you have to call it first, and if you don't get what you want, you'll have to choose the next best thing. AND, there is a minimum of Artifacts per person, you each get 2 pieces of powerful armor, 1 weapon, and perhaps 2 or 3 pieces of jewelry. Don't be greedy.

When the RP starts, we will begin in the Imperial City, namely the Elder Council's Chambers.

If you have any questions or suggestions, ask me.

Hooray!!! Oh and one more thing, for those of you who are new and wish to join, I expect you to be able to hold your own in an RP and produce a good Character sheet. Inadequacy will not be accepted. That means absolutely no 1 liners, good grammar is a must, and good spelling as well.

Just a heads up for ya, but by all means all are welcome! I'm still trying to figure out my character right now though.

That's a pretty morbid twist on the OB story line but sounds great. Though the Champion of Cyrodiil technically wasn't the Champion of Cyrodiil at that point. :P

I'll consider joining in but you should provide a Char sheet template and maybe a starting point for the characters that join. Saviors popping up all over Tamriel won't be that much of a help if they're all separated.

Hold onto the Wabbajack for me but I'll tell you if I decide not to join up so someone else can take it.

Question: What about Hircines Ring?

Its allowed, but you must explain that you were the one who survived the Hunters Challenge and killed Tharsten Hart-Fang. Then you may have the ring.

Oh ya, I thought I was missing something, I'll edit a starting point in. And I just called the Champion of Cyrodiil by that name because its the name everyone knows him/her by.

By the way, here's my overly developed char sheet: I used the format from Illusionary's RP guide.
I'll add/remove some things and add how I got the Wabbajack once you get up your version of the character sheet so I can update it accordingly. And also to fit with your plot, this is just something I had to provide for any general RP.

EDIT: Oh, Well I guess I can keep it this way. :D The more detailed the better! Hope you like the way I came along the Wabbajack. ;)

Name: Aluna'Zira
Nickname: Words-Like-Walls/Aluna/Al
Race: Argonian
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Birthsign: The Mage

Artifact:
Wabbajack -
Aluna'Zira, while traveling from Leyawiin with a small shipment of supplies for the Bravil Mage's Guild in a horse drawn cart, came across the shrine of Sheogorath just west of the road between the two cities. The worshipers explained that to summon the Daedra lord, she must provide an offering of Lettuce, a lesser soul gem, and a handful of yarn. Luckily, the shipment provided her with the lettuce and soul gem. She produced the yarn by pulling some lint out of the bottom of her shoulder bag. Sheogorath spoke to her through the statue, even though he complained about the differences between yarn and lint, threatening her with a "Serious smiting", he appreciated the gesture and claimed he had a use for her. He sent her to deliver something exciting to a small boy's "boring" existence in Leyawin. Tasked with ruining the boy's aspirations of becoming a knight of the white stallion, she was told to poison both the boy and his horse with a potent hallucinogenic fungi. Aluna agreed out of boredom and was also more inclined to complete the task because of the promise of a rare and powerful "toy" that Sheogorath owned. After delivering the supplies to the Mage's Guild in bravil, she hurried back to Leyawin and found the boy. Knowing the boy, a gluttonous and spoiled child, she offered him a sweet roll with the fungus inside just before his horse riding practice. Having previously poisoning the horse's hay with the fungus, she watched the boy become terribly traumatized by horses when both the horse and the boy believed the other to be a significantly large goblin. The horse, acting defensively, tried to attack the boy as he ran away in terror. Aluna returned to the shrine the next day to be promptly rewarded with the Wabbajack.

The Warlock's Ring -
After gaining the Wabbajack, Aluna was eager to test it out. After waiting silently behind the walls of Leyawin she spotted what she wanted. A deer. She aimed and willed the Wabbajack in her mind to do... whatever it was supposed to do. Sheogorath was not clear on the details. She was surprised to see it fire a purple whispy ball towards the deer and on contact it transformed into a strange, rather well dressed goblin wearing over sized shoes and a small hat. Startled she ran up to the goblin and bashed it's head with a large branch before it could regain it's bearings. The goblin was out cold, but Aluna noticed a strange ring on it's finger and removed it. She recognized it from a description from her books on the Mage's Guild. It was the Warlock's Ring! She dragged the goblin away and as it was regaining consciousness it changed back to the deer, though it was bloody and dead. Apparently it had replaced the goblin in it's home surrounded by its clan members.

Mentality:

Is quick to judge on first impressions and can be painfully blunt sometimes. Tries to keep a lighter mood on most situations and tends to hide any sad or angry emotions. Earned her nickname by having a tell-it-how-it-is attitude. She doesn't have a good standing with any Dunmer.

Clothing/Amour:
Wears a gray sleeve-less tunic with a leather belt tied loosely at her waste. Brown baggy pants that are tied with yarn to at her shins. Barefoot. Carries a long cloth sack tied to a rope on both ends over her shoulder and across her chest.

A few books that she had collected in her travels. Most are on Daedric lore and tales. Plant ingredients for food and alchemical potions. Cutlery and dishes. Flint rocks. A cloth blanket. A little over 100 pieces of gold.

Biography:
Living in the Black Marsh from birth, Aluna recieved her naming ceremony at a late age because it was her father's wish to name her, though he resided at the time in Hammerfell. After her father was able to name her she left her mother behind in the Black marsh to live with him in Layawiin. Her father, a Battle Mage who did various jobs for the Fighters and Mages guilds, gave her basic training in the arts of Blades and Magicka. Her hobby and past-time was collecting local fauna to practice alchemy. The long lasting cultural tensions between Men and BeastMen in Leyawiin gave her a very reserved and picky personality in regards to creating relationships with other people, though she was most friendly towards the Argonians and Khajiits. But she always tried to see the good in people and believed that there was a light at the end of anything. She spent most of her free time with her father and closest friends, telling jokes and lightening the mood.

You mean the Royal Signet Ring right? It does seem like a pretty Uber item, but I don't think that that qualifies as an artifact since it was just a ring that King Hllalu was wearing.

Yes, i mean THAT ring. And yes, you are right for doubting it would be an artifact. I myself forgot that it was that strong (just checked it now). Now this idea does not seem that attractive anymore... thanks for leading me again to the light side of ANTI- Uber roleplaying :)

But right now the Bipolar blade seems to have taken my attention. How about creating a Mad Nord worshipping Sheogorad and slaying with such a curious blade?

Sure, make a sheet friend. I'm still writing mine now.

And I checked on the Signet Ring... that would be almost like having Wraithguard, Keening, and Sunder.

@Sabboth: Nice, that story gave me a little chuckle. :lmao:

Hah, I looked up the Bipolar blade. Seems like it'd be a great item to have, but maybe you should change it up from the literal in-game description of it. It's really powerful, but instead of the blade having two negating enchants, which would make it a pretty useless artifact other than it's really sharp, it should make the wielder prone to random fits of rage or long periods of depressed, apathetic, refusals of conflict. I'm sure with a sword like that Jonasvault101 would clear you with that artifact.

EDIT: Oops! I just noticed that this is sounding like an artifact discussion thread instead of an RP. :P

Despite being friendly, he has a troubled mind, and is often haunted with strange nightmares. Due to this, he must drink a special tonic to contain a deep seething rage within him.

Biography/Artifact Discovery: Theram grew up in a poor fishing village along Morrowind's Inner Sea. His parents raised him as best they could, even if it meant his father getting involved with the dangerous glass and ebony smuggling ring. At the age of 18, Theram joined his father on a small ship, smuggling glass and ebony from Hla Oad, to Mournhold.

For the next 10 years, everything would go smoothly, and Theram's family became moderately wealthy, finally being able to move into Suran in Vvardenfell and buying a nice manor. However, on a routine shipment to Mournhold, an Imperial galleon was tipped off about Theram and his father's shipment. The Dunmer team were ambushed, Theram's father dying in the fight.

Near death, and slowly floating to the bottom of the sea, Theram saw a strange shape. It was a statue, the statue was that of Mehrunes Dagon, the Prince of Destruction. In an instant, Theram was no longer drowning, the sea around him became an air bubble and all the fish died. Mehrunes spoke to him, telling him of an artifact that lay at his feet, a strange crescent blade that was unmistakably Daedric.

Mehrunes told Theram, that if he wished, he could take up the blade and strike down the Imperials who killed his father and had tried to kill him. The voice of Mehrunes taunted Theram, picking at the growing rage. Theram took up the blade and accepted Mehrunes' offering, but with it came a price that Theram would bear the rest of his life.

And so, Theram rose from the sea, and took the lives of each and every Imperial soldier, sending them to Oblivion to burn. In a strange twist of fate, on that very ship, in a chest of Dwemer design, were two other artifacts. The Ebony Mail, forged by Boethiah, and the gauntlets of the mighty Nordic hero, Randagulf.

In secret, Theram spirited all of these away, back to Suran. His mother had been killed, not by Imperials, but by the worshipers of Boethiah, who were supposed to receive the Ebony Mail in an illegal deal made with the captain of the Imperial galleon. Years and years go by, Theram suffering from nightmares of Boethiah and Oblivion, and haunted by the spirits of those he'd killed.

Finally, a Tribunal priestess took pity on him, in the streets of Vivec. She saw the sorrow in Theram's eyes, and a great strength in him. So he was taken to the holy Ghostgate monastery, and trained as an Armiger. Theram saw it as penance for his sins, and sought forgiveness from the saints of the Tribunal Temple.

Today, he is called to the Imperial City, to serve Tamriel as a leader and soldier. Hopefully, along the way, he will find the answer to his troubles, be it death or forgiveness.

Gah, I'm jealous that I am unable to join, this sounds like a good one. Be very very careful about ubering, I know you addressed it, but still be wary. Also, if the Champion died, are the daedra still invading?

Other than that, it looks good. Akavari Invasion plus Daedra Invasion equals great plot. Uber champions from around the land equals awesome characters. So long as you host it well and you only let in those that can handle that kind of uberness, I expect some very good things out of this.

OMG accepted! :woot: NICE. My char will BLOW YOUR MIND, litteraly XD

Name: Doljak Fernis

Age: 35

Gender: Male

Race: Nord

Birthsign: The Lover

Class: Fanatik

Class Skills:

Major
Long Blade [65]
Heavy Armor [50]
Unarmored [70]

Minor
Hand to hand [50]
Athletics [45]
Illusion [35]

Misc
Bragging, Screaming, Insanity

Class Description:

Fanatiks like Doljak are simply a mixture between the normal barbarian and the average warrior. He combines the brute strength of dual wielding weapons with the heavy (partial) protection of the warrior.

Profession: He is the member of a secret cult worshipping Sheogorad, the god of Madness.

General Appearance:

Doljak is a bulky, strong and tough-looking giant mass of muscle, although he does not look like an ogre. His naked torso and legs are covered with slightly glowing blue ritualistic runes that give him divine protection, at least that’s what he brags about.

The Nord is bald and has a Scar surrounding his skull, like a crown. He has one blue eye, and the other one is red, due to an “accident” while playing with potions. His jaw is so pronounced that it’s giving his face the resemblance of an ork.

He is most of the times smiling like a maniac and has a look that would creep out any average person.

Psychological Profile:

He’s a psychopath. Due to the blade he has, he is more unbalanced than ever, sometimes laughing at the most desperate situation and panicking if a rat bites his toe. But most of the times he’s just trying to get drunk on skooma and moon sugar. What he thinks is talking normal people would call yelling. He would answer that they are just whispering whiny rabbits.

Weapon:

Bipolar Blade. As an addition of being deadly, this Weapon gives him the ability to turn his enemies, if badly wounded, into paranoid fools like Doljak himself. Combined with his insane strength, this weapon is truly something to be afraid of.

Clothing / Armour:

Doljak does not know the meaning of “Clothing”. He wears a loincloth of bearskin he killed with a punch and has his left upper arm and shoulder protected with a steel Pauldron, like a gladiator. He wears steel boots and steel gauntlets.

Other Gear:

The nord has venison in his bag, which he prefers eating raw. He has 100 septims…which he also prefers eating raw.

Biography:

Doljak had a perfect childhood, so HE says. He killed his parents at an age of 15 and then started having his first hallucinations with 16, which he was very proud of.

The nord joined the community of Sheogoraths worshippers and found himself blessed by the madgod; only that could explain his rapid ascension in the faction.

After roaming a bit through Mournhold, a city which holds a few of his clans members in the outer rim, he stumbeled into Sunel Hlas, who told him he was sad that he had no woman to love. In a short flash of sanity that was left in Doljak, he managed to unite Marena Gilnith and Sunel Hlas into a marriage that ended perfectly, given the fact that his reward would be his beloved Bipolar Blade, which was tested right after the marriage. Marena Gilnith and Sunel Hlas weren’t able to spend their honeymoon, though.

Abilities: Nothing important to say here. More than an ability, Doljak has the disability of…insanity.

Extra Notes: Although insane, he’s a social but eccentric being.

Well, we're all in it together... in a way, but keep in mind that I have a blade that Mehrunes Dagon himself forged, well sort of anyways. And Sabboth has an artifact made by the very god your char worships.

Ah, gotcha. Now now Mr crazed barbarian, you behave in the Elder Council Chambers :nono:

Well then... that's uhh... crazy... I may have to knock you out, if I can manage that is.

And to anyone who wishes to join, please do, don't be afraid. We need more people! Once Mr. Boom has his Char sheet all straightened out we'll have 4 people in the RP (that's including me), but the more the merrier.

Why can't you join? And don't worry, I'm putting on my Anti-uber uniform for this one, you can be a powerful hero but not a god. And thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it :D

Good to hear. I can't join for a few reasons: Football, Honors and AP classes, Karate, and managing my short story contest. And if I joined one RP, it would look bad that I dropped out of about four others that I was in over the summer  Sorry.

(But if I were to join, a few artifacts I would have used would have been Feyfolken, the Oghma Infinium, Fists of Randagulf, Ring of the Wind, or the Dragonbone Mai. Ugh, I can think of so many good ideas for those already... Then again, artifacts aren't really my style, I prefer weaklings ^_^)

EDIT: Ah, I see. I admit that I didn't read all the character sheets fully :embarrass:
